    LAURENS COUNTY An Upstate family is searching for an 81-year-old Laurens County man was reported missing. Billy Joe Garrett, 81, of Honea Path suffers from dementia, according to officials.

    A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the location of an elderly Honea Path man that went missing on Wednesday evening, the Laurens County Sheriff's Office announced on Sunday.

    A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the location of an elderly Honea Path man that went missing on Wednesday evening, the Laurens County Sheriff's Office announced on Sunday.

    Local news WYFF, has on their FB page that Mr. Garrett's body has been found, but no other details. Nothing on their news site yet. It's just been posted.

    A body found Sunday afternoon has been identified as a Honea Path man who went missing almost two weeks ago, Greenville County coroner Parks Evans said Monday.

    Evans said Billy Joe Garrett, who has been missing since Jan. 29, was found in a wooded area near Garrett’s home. Evans identified the body using X-rays on file at the Greenville Hospital System, he said.
