FL - Four USF students killed by drunk driver on I-275, Tampa, 8 Feb 2014
Troopers: Four USF students killed by wrong-way driver on I-275
Four University of South Florida fraternity brothers and a driver who crashed head-on into them died in a fiery crash on Interstate 275 near Busch Boulevard early Sunday.
The crash happened just after 2 a.m. when a 2001 Ford Expedition was traveling south in the northbound lanes of I-275, said Steve Gaskins, spokesman for the Florida Highway patrol. The Ford crashed head-on into a 2010 Hyundai Sonata carrying the four men who were traveling north in the center lane just north of Busch Boulevard, Gaskins said.
The Ford burst into flames and became completely engulfed, Gaskins said. The driver was killed and authorities were still working to determine his identity due to the extensive fire damage, Gaskins said.
The front end of the Hyundai was also burned and all four male occupants were killed at the scene, Gaskins said.
The occupants of the Hyundai were driver Jobin Joy Kuriakose, 21, of Orlando, Ankeet Harshad Patel, 22, of Melbourne, Imtiyaz Ilias, 20, of Fort Myers, and Dammie Yesudhas, 21, of Melbourne, Gaskins said.
The four men in the Hyundai were members of USF's Sigma Beta Rho fraternity.

no words... so sad..."I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day."

I wonder if this one will be found to be a drunk driver, just like the one in California.

In the video, I counted at least 10 cars that avoided the wrong-way driver before the crash. Imagine the terror they experienced. From the speedometer in the girl's car (who was making the recording), that other car must have been traveling about 65 to 70 mph. Was it a suicide mission?

It's a very scary video - my heart was pounding!
The latest on my fb was they might need to use dentals to identify the driver... Um, the car was registered to X - is that person accounted for? If so, go down the list of persons who had access to the car. The one not around any longer is the driver? (I know, kind of not scientific).
Imagine a family not knowing...

The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner positively identified the wrong-way driver as 28-year-old Daniel Lee Morris, who recently moved to Tampa from St. Clair Shores, Mich.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Morris had been residing with a friend, Scott Eric Enfinger, 27, and was driving Enfinger's Ford Expedition when it crashed head-on into a Hyundai Sonata.
Troopers are still trying to determine where Morris entered I-275 and whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, the highway patrol said.
This crash remains under investigation. "Lt. Jason Allen of the St. Clair Shores Police Department said Morris had no arrest record there and the department had no contact with him." http://tbo.com/news/crime/wrong-way-...-suv-20140211/
