Looking on the maps, the bar is only a few minutes walk from the waterfront

Map with his last known location (the Market Lounge). Close to the harbor indeed, and easy to get turned around in that area of the city.

    Few more details here: http://northendwaterfront.com/2014/0...aturday-night/

According to this site, Eric lives in the North End. That's basically due north from the Market Lounge - roughly a 15 minute walk, depending where he lives. I wonder if he headed home on foot.

Snipped from article: Police told the family they got a ping from Munsell’s cell phone about half an hour after he left the bar. It appeared he was headed in the direction of the harbor, and not towards his North End apartment.

    Well this is crazy....

    From the above link

When the staff at Market Lounge asked Munsell to leave, according to his mother, they refused to let him get his coat. She’s hoping someone might remember a tall, thin man walking without his coat that night.

How can they ask him to leave and not let him get his coat? That just doesn't sound right. Also how would anyone know that unless the bouncer told someone that he wouldn't let him get his coat.

So a handsome young man is bounced from a bar, drunk, no coat near water....uuuggghhhh

I really hope he is safe somewhere....

    and this one http://dailyfreepress.com/2014/02/11...orted-missing/

A snippet from the article BBM: “We’ve checked all paths to get from point A to point B, and we’re trying to exhaust all possibilities,” he said.
A bouncer removed Munsell from Market Lounge after he tripped and fell on his way to the bathroom, Prescott said.
“I believe that he had been drinking, but I don’t believe that he was unruly, and just speaking from what I’ve heard, I don’t believe he was at the point that he should’ve been removed,” he said. “That’s not necessarily Eric.”

Munsell is known to walk or run home when within a mile of his residence, Prescott said.
“He’s not one to take public transportation or a cab,” he said. “We were thinking that in the icy conditions, walking near the water or walking somewhere, he may have slipped and fallen.”

I'm still stuck on sending someone out into the cold without their coat...also his keys, phone and ID could have been in his coat. It just doesn't seem reasonable.

Maybe he was exposed to some E or something...it was his birthday so often people drink more, get more drinks bought for them and do things that they might not normally do.

That bar really needs to look into what their bouncers are doing....that is just wreckless to treat a patron that way...even if they are drunk.

It wasn't a warm night….. I don't get it. Hand him his things and send him on his way. No coat? I was wondering yesterday why they described him as wearing the striped shirt… I thought wait, he would have had a coat on. Nope!

Is this something to worry about, the Smiley Face Killer? I'd never heard of it, but sheesh this situation could fit the bill. Hopefully he will be found safe, not feeling good about it though: http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?id=9006940

…and I realize this would be jumping the gun. Clearly he is missing right now. I just hate that the circumstances leading up to that seem to match up from what we know thus far.

    Praying he's found safe!

LookingHoping when this scenario happens I always think about the Smiley face. There is quite a few websites on it. Most people just believe men tend to gravitate to water to urinate.

He did have his phone as it pinged in the opposite direction of his home. So maybe he was going to another bar or friends house?

The police and family are looking at security footage.

I can't find anything quoting any of his friends that he was with that night. Have you?

Nope, nothing at all regarding quotes from friends.

Males pee anywhere in BostonLOL Go to the water and you are seen, walk behind a corner or alley and you are not.

I hope they can find something on the footage! It does seem the friends are involved on the FB page. The man who began the fb page is a co-worker as stated in the dailypress article posted above. No word as to whom exactly he was out celebrating with.

In the comments under this article a poster describes their experience Saturday night not being able to get their coat from coat check without their ticket. I was assuming the his coat was on the back of his chair....
