Las Vegas police are looking for a 45-year-old woman who went missing in mid-January.

Irma Mkrtchyan was last seen on Jan. 19 near West Desert Inn Road and South Durango Drive.

Mkrtchyan is 5-feet 5-inches tall, 120 pounds and has blonde hair and brown eyes.

This video says she lives with her ex-husband and thier kiddos. I've sleuthed that one child is in college in Vegas and one is in college out of state. Also that she sent different text messages to the ex and to her work, both indicating that she was goign to California. Weird. Sex trafficking? Or the ex husband? Eyes and ears open here.
 
Agreed re: the texts. I think that is what may have gotten the interest of the police. Her missing person flyers have circulated to the governemtn agencies in town, at least, and probably the walmart/sams clubs but no follow ups in the news today.

From your link, there are a lot of good questions being asked about her disappearance. Why was her car parked where it was if it was within walking distance of home? Why does it seem like the ex is not looking for her at all yet her brother has come from NY to look for her? Why is she and the ex living in the same house and are they on friendly terms? Why isn't the ex concerned? Who was the last to see her? Why would she be gone 3 weeks and it not concern anyone else besides her brother?

This sounds like Susan Jacobson's story where an older woman disappears and her family doesn't bother making any efforts looking for her.

The seeming lack of requests for help from the ex and the children is so concerning...

And yes... It is so reminiscent of Susan Jacobson...

If she was going on a business trip wouldn't the insurance company she works for know where she was going? Did she ride with the other person on the business trip? Did they fly? What about her bank account...has she used a credit card? Withdrawn money? Has she gone on trips like this before? I hope she's ok.

Her brother, I think, is in town with another family member. Also, in the link above, she was allegedly meeting a client at the same apartment complex that her car was found at. That is not at the same location (Durango and Desert Inn) where she was last seen. It's on the same side of town and nearby but not walking distance close. So was she indeed seen at the complex or the other location? Many of the nicer apartment complexes have some camera coverage. Any cell pings? What also stood out is that police are checking domestic violence shelters. Why? With both her ex claiming to receive a text from her and her office receiving yet a different text, it could have been someone using her phone to send the messages. She could have also disappeared on her own - people do that all the time in Las Vegas, however, according to her brother, he does not believe that.

One more thing, her brother says the text messages sent to the ex and her job were received the day after she met the client at the apartment complex. That would be Jan. 20. The brother Davit seems to have a regular contact with Irma and was very concerned after he could not get through to her for 3 full days. Wouldn't the ex be concerned when she did not come home on Sunday if they lived together since she did not have a history of disappearing.

Someone mentions in the comment section that another woman named Sheila Linke is missing from the same area. I can't find a thread for Sheila.

Sheila Link was last seen in the area of Island Breeze Court, near Ann Road and Jones Boulevard. It is quite a distance from the Lakes but again. I would consider it the same part of town (west) but not close close. Her boyfriend supposedly last heard from her on Jan. 26.

Someone that says she is a friend of Sheila's posted this within the past 24 hours so it looks like she is still missing.

Have you seen Sheila Linke? She has been missing since January 26, 2014 and could be in extreme danger. If you have seen her or have any information, please call Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept at 702-828-2907 or 702-828-3111. Please share this so we can find our friend.

There is such a disproportionately high amount of domestic violence In Las Vegas particularly for women killed by men (that they know) according to the Violence Policy Center .

This all sounds very suspicious. Sending the texts the day after her known appointment to her employer and her brother. Each with a different story and stating to her brother her cell phone is losing battery power and she forgot her charger. This from a woman whose business is dependent on her phone.

I have a feeling foul play is involved here, and they should be looking out in the desert for a shallow grave. And this other lady missing as well, around the same time from the same general area? Wow. A witness?

Wonder if the two missing women knew each other or where acquaintances in any way?

This case gets curiouser and curiouser.

It is highly doubtful that the two woman know each other. Someone connected with the case was able to provide some additional details.
