Gonzalez was last seen by her son Pedrito at 10 p.m. Tuesday, when she went to sleep. When Pedrito woke up the next morning, he found his mother's bed unkempt, her pocketbook and cellphone still in the home, and the front door unlocked.
Family members, who say Gonzalez would never leave her home without notifying someone, also say it's rare she would leave personal items scattered about instead of taking them with her.
Gonzalez's sister-in-law, Liz Gonzalez, said police were at the home in the 400 block of Northeast 136th Street on Friday with dogs trained to pick up scents. She said when her sister-in-law suffers an epileptic seizure she sometimes passes out, unable to wander. Neighbors reportedly saw her wandering Memorial Highway, her sister-in-law said.

What a shame that this case doesn't get more attention that it sorely needs and deserves.

I try not to say much here, but the attention this young lady's case is getting is so very diminutive. But on the other hand there are so many missing person's cases out there that regrettably this case gets lost in the shuffle, so to speak. Thanks for taking a moment to read this. :)

Rosaura Castillo, Noemi's sister: "She laughed and smiled, and she loved to celebrate holidays and cook."

Not just Noemi's large, adoring family. The North Miami Police Department considered her family as well.

North Miami Police Sgt. Diana Roman: "Noemi worked for us. She used to be a crossing guard for a while, and she was a receptionist here. She was always smiling; she was super pleasant. She was family to us, too."

But last year, on Feb. 12th, Noemi literally just disappeared from her North Miami home.
