PA - Nadia Malik, 22, Marple Township, 9 February 2014

    http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index...to_suburb.html

Police say Singh is also wanted for questioning in the disappearance of his girlfriend in Broomall, Pa. Marple Township Det. Kurt Lindelow said Friday that Singh’s girlfriend, Nadia Malik, 22, went missing on Sunday.

Lindelow said she spent part of that day with Singh.

“There’s suspicious circumstances around her disappearance,” Lindelow said. “It’s highly unlike for her to not be in close touch with family and close friends for that long.”

Solon police say they arrested Singh about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on the probation violation warrants at his parent’s home.

Marple Township police asked Solon police if they could locate Singh and his girlfriend. Solon police say they notified Marple Township after finding Singh. Malik is still missing.

“We just don’t know where she is,” Lindelow said. “We don’t know if she’s in Pennsylvania or Ohio.”

Malik is described as about 5-foot-4, 120 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Lindelow said she could be driving a 2007 Nissan Ultima with a Pennsylvania license plate of JFM 5047.
More at link about his criminal history (DUIs and throwing a bottle at a store clerk).

A mother of two young daughters who typically keeps in contact with family and friends, Malik was last heard from on Sunday, by telephone, said Lindelow, who is leading the investigation into her disappearance.
Until a few weeks ago, Malik was working as a pharmacy assistant at a CVS on Lansdowne Avenue in Upper Darby.

“She was let go,” Lindelow said, apparently for missing too much work.

According to Lindelow, the last known contacts with Malik were last Sunday morning by telephone. Thomas Singh of Upper Darby, a friend of Malik’s and no relation to Bhupinder Singh, spoke with her twice by phone. He later reported to authorities that Malik told him she was with Bhupinder Singh and “he wasn’t letting her go,” Lindelow said.

Malik’s brother, who resides in Georgia, also made phone contact with Bhupinder Singh on Sunday, Lindelow said.

“Her brother was talking to Bhupinder Singh and he could hear his sister in the background. The brother could hear Bhuphinder Singh and his sister yelling, and then the phone was disconnected,” he said.

Worried family members have been unable to speak with Malik since, Lindelow said. However, there was subsequent contact with Bhupinder Singh between Sunday and Wednesday, both by voice and text-messaging, from several people inquiring about Malik.

“He never answered their questions,” Lindelow said.

During telephone conversations, Malik had provided several areas of her whereabouts with Bhupinder Singh, including the New Jersey Turnpike and Grays Ferry in Philadelphia, neither of which locations have been confirmed by authorities, Lindelow said.

As part of his ongoing investigation, Lindelow obtained the couple’s cell phone number and then through the phone provider, made an emergency pinging request for location of calls from that number. Lindelow received the results on Wednesday and that information led to an apartment in Solon, Ohio, which turned out to be the resident of Bhupinder Singh’s parents.

At Lindelow’s request, police in Solon went to location to check for the Altima, registered to Bhupinder Singh’s father in Upper Darby.

“When police knocked on the apartment door, Bhupinder Singh attempted to run out the back,” Lindelow said.

There was no sign of the Altima or Malik, Lindelow said.

Lindelow said one of the couple’s daughters was located in the apartment. Another daughter reportedly resides with Malik’s parents in Broomall.

Authorities have placed a missing Marple woman at the wheel of a black 2007 Nissan Altima at a traffic light in the 6400 block of Market Street in Upper Darby, between noon and 1 p.m. Feb. 9.

As a multistate search continues for 22-year-old Nadia Malik, Marple Detective Barry Williams said Wednesday, “We are asking the public for help to find that car,” which has tinted windows and a Pennsylvania license plate of JFM 5047.
In a statement to Solon police, Singh reportedly said he got into an argument with Malik in Pennsylvania and he left her with the vehicle and took a bus to Ohio, Lindelow said.

Solon police found a ticket stub for a Greyhound bus terminal in New York, dated Feb. 10.

This is scary. And how many times have we heard this story? "Oh we had a fight, but when I left her she was fine". Ok sure, and this guy just happens to get on a bus out to Ohio to hole up with mommy and daddy afterwards, and not to his own home? Ok sure.

Wonder how they placed her in car, with tinted windows?
    Just my opinion, of course.

I don't know if they have them there, but here we have have traffic red lights and blue lights that can grab pictures through the front window. I know many states have them. Maybe they do to? They would have then be able to see who was in the passenger and driver seat.

Oh no! So sad, but not unexpected based on the circumstances. RIP Nadia.

Oh damn. Not a surprise, but still so sad. Her poor family, and now those two children without a mom.

    RIP Nadia.

Walker said the car had been parked along 30th Street for 12 days and had multiple parking tickets attached to the windshield. A call was also placed to 911 at one point during that time complaining about the car, he said.

First ticket on the car was Feb 9th. Boyfriend took a Greyhound the 10th. Also, how did they not see her slumped over in there when putting tickets on the car. I know it says she had dark tinted windows, but if they could tell she was driving at an intersection via a camera, surely a person can see in the windshield when putting a ticket on there. SMH.

The news report said the body was slumped down and had been covered with books and/or a book bag. Also, because of heavy snow, the car was probably covered by snow for most of that time.

Cagle this might be the reason:

Philadelphia Police Lt. John Walker says the woman's body was found slumped over in the passenger seat of the car, under a pile of books.

"There was a bookbag with stuff dumped out and on top of her," Walker said.

Yea I saw that too. How odd. If this was a suicide or a medical crisis how did all the books end up on top of her?
