    Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

    "When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

    This is a strange story. I'm a bit surprised that there's been no additional news coverage on Mrs Fredricksen. I live right by the Morton Grove McDonald's she went to. It's on Dempster Ave. She lives in Des Plaines so she probably drove straight down Dempster Ave on her way to Evanston--that is, if it was her that drove her car to Evanston. Hoping she's been found and that's why there's been no more coverage.

    <snip>...Authorities tracked her cell phone to Evanston, where it was found -- along with her purse -- locked inside her car parked near Elliot Park, located on the lakefront between Hamilton and Lee streets.
    Fredricksen lived about five blocks from that park in the early 1990s, Akin said...
    <snip>
    ...Police obtained surveillance footage from the fast food restaurant showing that Fredrickson used the drive-thru about noon on Friday, Akin said.
    She was by herself and did not appear to be in distress at the time, he added....

    I can't find any updated information on her, has anyone else seen anything? It's sad when things don't get updated by the media who first reported her missing.

    I just can't believe how this disappearance has received such little coverage. Debra's car was found in the parking lot of a lakeside park in Evanston. That's all we know. I'm sure her family is still desperately seeking answers. Praying that she is found so that they may have closure.

    Oh dear...does not sound promising. Hoping for the best.
    Just my opinion, of course.

    I too am surprised that there is very little media coverage.

    Cops: Body found along Evanston lakefront may be missing Des Plaines woman

    No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. - 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)

    We are all one poor choice from being a subject on this forum. Think twice.
