Although he hasn't been charged with his wife's death, Chief Assistant State Attorney Georgia Cappleman has said that Frasch is a suspect in his wife's murder.

Friday's competency hearing was related to his child custody charges. It showed that Frasch is able to proceed in all aspects of the case, according to the state attorney's office.

Dr. Adam Frasch may be released from jail after eight months if a Leon circuit judge agrees Thursday with the podiatrist’s defense attorney that charges he interfered with child custody orders should be dropped.

Circuit Judge Kevin Carroll is expected to consider Frasch’s motion to dismiss at an 11:30 a.m. hearing.

But, if it is granted, Frasch’s freedom may be short-lived. Chief Assistant State Attorney Georgia Cappleman has said a Leon County grand jury will consider next week a first-degree murder indictment against Frasch for the killing of his wife.

Dr. Adam Frasch will be released this afternoon from the Leon County jail after accepting a plea deal offered by state prosecutors...

Frasch will be able to return home and to his Thomasville, Ga. podiatry practice, which is being investigated by federal authorities for Medicare fraud.

From OkieGranny's link: ( He is out for now but may soon be back in jail....)

A Leon County grand jury is expected to consider the case when it meets Thursday. If it metes out a first-degree murder indictment against Frasch, he will be arrested again and return to jail.

A free man for the first time in eight months, Dr. Adam Frasch wasted no time Thursday making his case why he should not be indicted in his wife’s murder. In an open letter to the “people of Tallahassee,” given exclusively to the Tallahassee Democrat, Frasch declared his innocence in the Feb. 22 death of his wife, purported former French model Samira Frasch...

Frasch, who also is facing a federal Medicare fraud investigation, lamented his treatment in the media, his lost freedom and his inability to grieve the death of the wife.

He made it clear he has no interest in returning to jail. “I cannot begin to tell honest, God-fearing persons the daily horrors of an overcrowded jail, with poor food, constant noise, frequent fights and dozens of mentally ill and drug addled inmates always trying to pick a fight with you over the smallest things,” he wrote. “It is a nightmare.”

Dr. Adam Frasch will tell a Leon County grand jury on Friday he had nothing to do with the February death of his wife, Samira Frasch.

Frasch spent Thursday afternoon waiting outside a courtroom ready to testify, but the case was not taken up until late morning and the slow pace of the closed-door, prosecutor-led proceedings pushed back his appearance...

Witnesses who testified Thursday included the maintenance man who found Samira Frasch's lifeless body the morning of Feb. 22 at the bottom of her Golden Eagle pool, one of the lead investigators in the case, Leon County Sheriff's Office Detective Tony Geraldi and state medical examiner Dr. Lisa Flannagan.

Dr. Adam Frasch testified for 2 hours and 15 minutes this afternoon in front a Leon County grand jury that is taking up the killing of his wife Samira Frasch...

It's unusual for the prime suspect in a homicide investigation to testify before a grand jury. But Leace said earlier in the week that doing so was in his client's best interest.

This most recent story above said he has been in jail since Feb, but really he just got out the end of Oct. In an update to the Tallahasse link he is now back in jail.... I guess him testifying at the Grand Jury did not help him. They only took one hour to indict.

Frasch, 47, a Thomasville, Ga. podiatrist, was booked Friday evening into the Leon County Jail where he is being held on no bond.

    Feature article about the case:

Investigative reports, recently shared with Frasch's defense team by the State Attorney's Office and obtained by the Tallahassee Democrat under Florida's open records law, provide insight into the tawdry case of infidelity and excess.

The documents, which include dozens of witness interviews, the autopsy report and investigators' findings, reveal previously undisclosed details about events surrounding the death of Samira, who was in the process of divorcing her husband.

    From OkieGranny's link:
A witness who came to investigators said Frasch earlier this month asked him to get rid of all the golf clubs from the garage of the Golden Eagle home. Frasch reportedly said he thought they were still there because law enforcement officials hadn't mentioned them. He instructed the man not to sell or give the clubs away but to toss them in a lake or river.

"Just make them disappear," Frasch said, according to the witness.

She had 2 head wounds, cause of death; drowning and blunt force trauma to head. There is an unkown person's DNA on the robe tied around her waist, this maybe a problem for the prosecuter.
