Paul Mulvihill shows court how he accidentally stabbed Rachelle Yeo twice

February 26, 2014

A pharmaceutical sales manager accused of murdering his ex-lover has tearfully re-enacted the struggle in which he claims the young woman was accidentally stabbed on two occasions, declaring: "I would never ever dream of hurting anyone".

Paul Darren Mulvihill broke down repeatedly as he told a Supreme Court jury on Wednesday that his colleague and former lover, Rachelle Yeo, had come at him with a large stainless steel kitchen knife after he went to her northern beaches home on July 16, 2012.

An older report about Mulvihill & his arrest...

July 22, 2012

ON THE field Paul Mulvihill had one of the most accurate boots of his era, memorably kicking a penalty goal after the siren to win the Australian rugby club championship for Souths in 1987.

Now, 25 years later, father of three Mulvihill is accused of a brutal crime. Police allege he murdered a colleague and former lover

Thank you Marly for posting this thread on WS. I've been following it in MSM and was thinking it would suit WS.:seeya:

His whole "I killed her in self-defence" argument just doesn't ring true. She was stabbed in the heart and the neck. His explanation has all sorts of flaws in it IMO.

He obviously couldn't deal with the fact that she had broken up with him (despite the fact that he had a wife at home!!! Hello!!):

"Earlier, Ms Cinque put it to the accused that he had been "stalking" his former lover in the weeks after they broke up, searching for her new address online and repeatedly going to her Facebook page.

"You were determined to see her that evening even when she told you that she didn't want to see you," Ms Cinque said. "That's because you were obsessed with her and by this time to had started stalking her."

New article ......

Rachelle Yeo lay bleeding on the floor of her North Curl Curl apartment, her life rapidly ebbing away, as police tried to break down the door.

On the other side of the apartment, the dying woman's ex-lover, Paul Darren Mulvihill - bloodied knife in hand - jumped over her balcony and drove away in a silver rental car.

Seconds later, police burst in and paramedics immediately went to work, trying frantically to save the 31-year-old's life.

In the ensuing struggle, Traill said, Yeo was accidentally stabbed twice, at which point Mulvihill fled the scene, ditching the knife and his bloodied hoodie and shoes on the way back to his hotel.

''By May, [Yeo] had a new boyfriend and was trying to distance herself from the accused,'' Cinque said. ''By June, she was positively scared of him.''

Actions of an innocent man? I think not ……

Accident, NOT. Plenty of strings to pull, seeing that he's famous. But lets just see where it gets him, eh.

Later, Mr Mulvihill described how he found out where Ms Yeo lived by peering into her car and seeing an addressed envelope.

He then explained why, when he left his hotel on the night of the alleged murder to drive to Ms Yeo's home, he put the hood of his jumper over his head.

"I knew that I shouldn't be going there because the work implications were that I could have lost my job," he said, referring to a warning he had been given by his employer to stay away from Ms Yeo.

Yes, he certainly has already been given privileges IMO.

Granted bail not once, not twice, but three times! Breached it twice, but still granted bail again!

A former rugby player accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death has been granted bail for the third time despite breaching his bail conditions on two previous occasions, and despite new evidence that prosecutors say undermines his claim that he acted in self-defence.

Oh jeez, the bail thing doesn't look promising...

The more I read on this, the more it's clear Mulvihill murdered her, and it was obvious the situation was coming to a head and that Rachelle was afraid of him.

Yeah, gotta love how it's HER fault.. Reminiscent of Lisa Harnum, for sure.

‘I was very angry’: Paul Mulvihill said Rachelle Yeo ruined his life

(Notice once again - It's her fault)

And, of course, his wife also blamed Rachelle. Because he couldn't possibly have avoided an affair and remained faithful to his wife!

This was not long after Mr Mulvihill's wife of 16 years, Theresa Mulvihill, discovered text message conversations revealing the affair, packed the former rugby player's bags and rang Ms Yeo to ask ''how do you sleep with yourself at night knowing that … you are destroying our family?''.

Hate the fact that she has the other wacko's name (RL).

Rachelle Yeo's name is very familiar to me, and I can't work out why? Brain dead I think.

Good video here ... at the 22sec mark you can see Paul Mulvihill leaving his hotel on the night that he allegedly murdered Rachelle. He is certainly trying to hide his face from any CCTV recordings, as he quickly makes his get-away.

A supreme court jury has heard that Paul Mulvihill ruthlessly murdered his former lover Rachelle Yeo at her Sydney unit, because she had ended their affair.

the verdict that just came down is that he is Guilty of the Murder of Rachelle Yeo.

murderous liar...

any guesses as to what the sentence will be??? she died in her own home, she tried to get away from him, he planned the murder,, ( I believe there was a great degree of premeditation) . he wont get any disount as he kept up the not guilty thingy..

27 years?

20 being the minimum..

parole??

the jury took 2 hours of deliberation to arrive at the verdict...

2 hours.. hardly time to have a whip round of who makes the tea!!

his story was garbage.
