Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

I don't understand this at all. Did the boyfriend leave after dinner? Does he have a separate home of his own?

It was below zero and frigid temps all day the day she went missing. She left her coat behind. This is very strange!

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. - 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)

We are all one poor choice from being a subject on this forum. Think twice.

Dive teams search Otter Creek today

    http://www.wcax.com/story/24943390/d...ssing-vt-woman

PROCTOR, Vt. - Search crews combed the Otter Creek Tuesday in the search for a missing Proctor woman.
    ...
After a foot search turned up empty, officials took advantage of the sunny day in Proctor to deploy a scuba team and search Otter Creek.

"We're searching for her, we're searching for any clues, anything that might help us in the investigation to find Ms. Foster," Vt. State Police Det. Lt. Kevin Lane said.

About 15 people from the Vt. State Police, Rutland County Sheriff's Department and the Proctor Fire Department joined Tuesday's search.

"Not a lot of outside evidence to follow, so we go back to elimination investigation," Rutland County Sheriff Stephen Benard said.

Officials say the case has left them with no leads. ...
I check online every night to see if Maryann has been found or any new developments. This does not make any sense. I'm glad our local CBS news station WCAX had this piece on tonight's 6 o'clock news.

Please please share A small lead could make the difference in these families lives. These four people have nothing in common except they disappeared around the same time and location. Please share it could make a difference in a sad family's life.
Facebook post from one of Maryann's friends ... Well said! The other 3 missing persons she is referring to are Rebecca Streeter of Greenfield MA, Jonathan Schaff of Fair Haven, VT and Michael Hayward, Jr. of Sunapee, NH.

Does the missing woman have any relatives? I haven't seen any mentioned in the news articles.

That's a good question! I also have yet to read anything indicating she has relatives. I believe one news report I read indicated she was originally from CT. I'm in Vermont but much farther north - I assume Maryann is being talked about in her own town but sadly, there haven't been many news reports and the ones they've had are kind of 'bland' - very little in the way of personal info about her is revealed. I get the impression she was a private person. The photo they're using is not the most flattering (I'm not trying to be unkind). I'm guessing it's a DMV photo from years ago (never flattering for anyone)! I did see a more current photo on Facebook (I think her boyfriend's niece?) and she looks very different - actually reminds me of my cousin a little. I don't think there is a Facebook page for 'Find Maryann Foster' yet.

This is all very strange. I agree that the reporting has been bland. I also live further north but Rutland and the surrounding towns don't have the best reputation IMO.

I hope Maryann is found safe.
