Police Search For Missing Livingston Woman -

LIVINGSTON, Tenn. –
Officials with the Livingston Police Department said 67-year-old Fonzie Loreda Bowmer, a longtime resident of Livingston, has been missing since February 15. Various other departments and agencies, including the Tennessee Highway Patrol, have been assisting with the search. Family members said there is no medical reason for her disappearance and usually she keeps in touch with them every day.

I don't get why there is not more being done to find her and why that son of hers and his family aren't being looked at more closely. They all have done EXTREMELY suspicious things and law enforcement don't seem to care or are completely clueless....

During the course of the investigation, agents, working alongside detectives from Livingston Police, developed information which led to Robert Tim Covey and his wife, Patricia Lynn Gentry, as those responsible for Ms. Bowmer’s death.

On Tuesday, the Overton County Grand Jury returned indictments for the couple, charging Covey, 40, with one count of premeditated first-degree murder, one count of felony murder, one count of aggravated burglary, and one count of theft over $1,000. Ms. Gentry, 42, faces one count of accessory after the fact, two counts of false report, and one count of theft over $1,000.

Robert Tim Covey pleaded guilty this past July. Not sure if Patricia Gentry has gone to trial yet.

One of the people accused of killing an Overton County woman last year entered a plea in Overton County Criminal Court this morning.

Robert Tim Covey and his wife, Patricia Lynn Gentry, are charged in the murder of 67-year-old Loretta (Fonzie) Bowmer, and Covey this morning pleaded guilty to four felony charges related to the case, including second degree murder.

Other charges to which he pleaded include especially aggravated robbery and two forgeries.

Both the murder and robbery charges to which Covey pleaded are class A felonies, and the forgery charges are class E felonies.

“Mr. Covey will be serving an effective 47-year sentence,” said 13th Judicial District Attorney Bryant Dunaway.
