In the US anybody can sue anybody for anything at all or for nothing at all. The most recent example:
January 29, 2014, a McDonalds customer was provided only one napkin with his Quarter Cheese Deluxe Burger.
When he asked for more, conversation w manager ensued.
He felt defamed, slandered, discriminated against and his safety was at stake.
