Wow thanks for posting this, can't believe I hadn't heard about it! I live in Sacramento (well, a suburb) and this is the first time I've heard/read about it.

That car seems like it'd stand out, especially with the Arizona plates on it. I agree with the family if it was a 'basic' accident it'd have been found by now. I hope his family knows where he banks - I assume they must if they were checking ATM records. Since he was supposed to be going to stop by the ATM, I wonder if there are cameras that can also be checked to at least see if he got that far.

    Found a little more:

    Broughty's FB page: https://www.facebook.com/broughty.cole?fref=ts

Search Party event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/597215533706290/ (note: several comments say his car was found a very short while ago, in a parking lot - my guess is they'd have surveillance cameras)

    Band's FB page: https://www.facebook.com/LasherKeen

I hope this is okay to share - it's from Facebook but it's from the official search event page. The car was found at the Sacramento Marina - see map below. I actually have friends with boats docked there and we've also got some friends who live just North of there right along the river. I'm sending the info to them now. I have some ideas on where to post flyers so I'm messaging the page admins to suggest them and see if I can do anything more to help.

Car location, as noted on the Search page (https://www.facebook.com/events/597215533706290/):

That parking/drive area is odd. I hope he's safe. I took my son down there about a year ago to look at the river, and it had such a weird feeling. Many vans and people sitting in their cars. I didn't feel that they were just taking in the view. I haven't been back since. I hope he wasn't there at night by himself.

Nikb... I'm just referring to a part of that longer drive at end of marina. I did to want to offend you . I have a friend who has a boat down at the marina too.

    Hope Broughty is safe.

Yeah, I agree, that's a pretty sketchy area. We go boating often in the summer and pretty much go through that stretch of river as quickly as possible. We launched at that marina exactly once and were pretty happy the truck was still in one piece when we got back. We ended up cutting our day short because we were worried. That said, we do have friends who dock their boat at that marina (it gets broken into a LOT), so I'm hoping maybe they saw or noticed something if they have been on their boat recently. Unfortunately with the cool weather and off and on rain I imagine the marina's not getting used a lot right now by the "regulars." Apparently he was parked near an entrance to the bike trail, which is fairly heavily used, so I'm hoping that's a plus.

Oh no, no offense taken. I've been there too as I just mentioned so I know exactly what you mean - I think we cross posted. I hope your friend's had better luck than ours break-in wise.

I hope he's safe too. When I saw where his car was found my heart sank, although that's way better there than crashed somewhere as they were worried about or IN the river.

Reading his FB, he sounds like a rolling stone kind of guy...quit one job without notice, but also has a recent post about desolation. So hard to say what is going on here...JMO
    Just my opinion, of course.

Just looking over FB pages hoping for any ideas. He looks SO different with short hair!
Here's the most recent short-haired pic I could find: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater

If the dates are accurate on his pictures, man does his hair grow fast! I haven't seen mention of him being "voluntarily missing" but if he is, all he'd have to do is cut his hair to make it hard for people to spot him, particularly people who don't know him.

According to the search FB page his car's been at the Marina since Monday night. It was apparently locked and had his backpack, food, clothes, and drum in it. It sounds like LE's not very involved as they had to have a locksmith come to get into the car - LE didn't come out from what they're saying so far.

I keep wondering if maybe he's at that marina somewhere, maybe with someone or in an unoccupied boat... although odd that he'd leave all his stuff in the car, in that case. I hope he's ok but find myself getting more and more worried for him.

There's another search planned for tomorrow: https://www.facebook.com/events/597215533706290/. I feel so bad that I can't help more with this being practically in my backyard... trying to figure out if there's more I can do.

Apparently his wallet and phone were missing from his car. I'm trying to take that as a good sign.

Looks like there's a pretty good search going on today. Here's an updated flyer:

I drove all around that part of sacramento today and walked quite a bit. There was quite a lot going on, lots of people to look through.
Also took a drive to where his car was found and it was fairly desolate today. I then drove down to Marina Park Drive. This is where I had mentioned previously as being kind of sketchy. However, today there were people walking dogs and having family bbq's. I believe I saw the tail end of the search group. I didn't stop, as my son was with me, but I hear there is one tomorrow that I can hopefully make. Good thing about today is that there are people out biking and walking. The more eyes out, the better.
I thought I might mention the proximity to I-5 from the location of the car. It's a 10 minute walk at most to get to the major interstate that travels north to Oregon and Washington and then south to San Diego. The possibilities are endless.
