OH - Ohio man extradited to Colorado for sextortion of 13-year-old girl

"KUSA – A 24-year-old Ohio man is charged with three felony counts for sexually extorting an Arvada 8th grader. Gregory Scott Kasarcik has been charged with Sexual Exploitation, Internet Sexual Exploitation and Criminal Extortion.

On January 2, 2014 a woman contacted Arvada police on behalf of her two neighbors, ages 13 and 16. The girls had come to her about a man who was harassing the 13-year-old on her computer.

According to court records, Kasarcik threatened to "blow up" the computer of the 13-year-old girl if she didn't perform sexually explicit acts that he demanded. The girl had just received a new laptop for Christmas and was afraid he could actually blow up her gift if she didn't do what he said.

The young teen met Kasarcik on Scenekids.com, a social networking site. His profile claimed that he was 15 years old. Kasarcik is alleged to have asked the teen to move from the social networking site to Skype. She complied. They started texting and then he began to ask sexual questions and make sexual demands."

This shows you how these child predators try to instill fear in their victims (threatening to blow up her computer if she didn't comply). Disgusting.

The internet and social media, such a dangerous place for kids.

The website this predator used was scenekids.com, according to the above article. I thought some of you parents out there might be interested in knowing about this. I'm not familiar with the site.
