Stuart did take some formula and bottles, but has no clothes or other essentials for this baby, and police are very concerned, especially as he had been drinking that night and him taking the baby had not been planned at all.

Lana Mai was taken from Prince St, in Pleck, Birmingham, I think. Will check.

No, it is in Walsall. Same place baby Lola Page has just been found safe. What's going on there?

Once again, there is an interesting but worrying comment on the W. Mids Police FB page. Hope this baby is found safe soon. Nine weeks is very, very young to be away from home.

More than one actually. Gosh almighty, the British Public really do like to interact with police, via FB.

Or maybe they just forget it's a police FB?

Police Facebook says that Lana has been found, and the father arrested for assault. I'm glad she was found safe.

Very glad about that. She looked soooo tiny and defenceless in that photo. It was painful to just see her here on a missing thread.

Walsall is a town that at one point was known for having the highest rate of teenage pregnancies in the country. Whether that is still the case I'm not sure, but from what I see at my work and on the streets, there is a massively high proportion of younger parents. Not that I'm saying that there is anything wrong in that, but the two cases over the weekend are both with young parents who are clearly troubled. I'm glad little Lana was found so quickly, at 9 months she would have needed more caring for than perhaps her father was aware of.

Last I heard they were still looking for the dad (last night this was) so I'm glad to see from above they have found him. I hope he is given the support he needs to be able to sort himself out, it sounds like a very sad case.

Hopefully this will be the last of baby snatching in Walsall for the time being.

No, we know that they are the police, but there's a real drive to make the police more interactive with the community. With all the news stories going on about the Stephen Lawrence case and other issues where the police previously were not behaving as they should, there seems to be an emphasis on getting the public to talk to the police, and to be able to see how they work. There's a local policeman in my town who tweets and blogs about everything he does, and he likes to explain just how the police work.

In the past there were a lot of issues about how the police treated members of the public and they are hopeful this is enabling younger people to see police in a different light.

Sorry... off topic a little there..
