Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

The child has reddish-blond hair, and he was wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt and jeans. The child reportedly does not always respond to his name. A photo is not available.

Me too. My first reaction is to just slam the parents or whoever was "watching" him, but then I realize....There but for the grace of God go I.

Just saw the update on KCAL News that he was found in a pool DOWN THE BLOCK! There's something about water and autistic children that just ends up in tragedy ( By all accounts this family was very loving and always taking good care of him. Poor sweet boy and poor family. Absolutely devastating
