Mills' mother said her son left her house in the 4400 block of Gaiwan Drive about 6:10 a.m. on his way to the school bus, and has not been heard from since.

Authorities said the teen did not attend any classes that day, and has not responded to any text messages or been in communication with anybody. Mills' mother told police that her son does not have a history of running away and is in need of his medication.

Police said Mills is described as being approximately 5-foot-4 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing his school uniform, which consists of a black polo-style shirt, khaki pants and a gray sweatshirt.

Police ask anyone with any information on Mills' whereabouts to contact NOPD at 821.2222 or call the 7th District at 504.658.6070. Callers can also reach out anonymously to CrimeStoppers at 504.822.1111 or toll free at 1.877.903.7867.

I'm confused. The first post has a quote saying that Jeremiah has a history of running away, but the quote in the second post from Bessie says he doesn't have a history of running away. Which one is accurate? TIA!

I was wondering that same thing! This is sad. These kids that go missing, even if they runaway, they hurt their loved ones so much.

I wonder if he made it on the bus or to school - we only know he didn't attend classes.
I hope he's found safe...prayers for Jeremiah and his mother.

Hmm...that's a good question. Good catch. I read them both the same.

Let me see if I can a third article.

Thanks, bessie. I hope Jeremiah is at a friend's house and safe.

ETA: Same for Shelton. Is there any chance they know each other, even though Jeremiah is 16 and Shelton is 13?

Don't even know where to post this since it belongs to no one yet, but also in the NOLA Defender, I see they found another body this morning? In the Intracostal Waterway. Now that's 2 unidentified in water still outstanding, I think. UGH!!

Old case, but it looks like he has a recent arrest:

A teenager sought by New Orleans police in connection with an attempted sexual assault Wednesday in New Orleans East has been arrested, police said Friday night.

NOPD spokesman Tyler Gamble said detectives have identified the youth, known on the streets as “White Boy,” as 17-year-old Jeremiah Mills.

He said Mills is in police custody and will be booked on counts of attempted aggravated rape and armed robbery

I put his new booking photo next to first photo side by side to make it a little easier:
