What a horrible tragedy for the family of this poor girl. Such a vicious killing might mean it was someone who had feelings for her. I hope they find her killer. I went on to her Facebook page and it looks like she was playing an online game about murder. Hopefully it's just ironic.

"Mystery surrounds the death of a 21-year-old found 'mutilated' in the basement of her Indianapolis home.
Shannon Kleeman was discovered by her sister on Friday morning who woke neighbors with her frantic screams.
Neighbor, Treva Bryant, rushed to the house to help, only to find the gruesome scene that police sources have labeled a homicide"

Just horrible, ugh.

But this happened in Indiana (IN) ... the title says Iowa (IA)

this is the 3rd Indianapolis case I've read about in less than an hour ...

I wonder if she knows the killer or this is random

(Snipped by me) I saw she was playing "Criminal Case" It's really just an online picture-seeking game. You do have to have " friends" send you virtual things but there really isn't much interaction.

I play that same game online. It really is just a game where you find hidden objects in pictures which are clues. The only interaction between players is sending "energy" and such. There is no way to message people within the game and nothing gruesome about it. But there are a few groups where you can meet up with other players to add them as friends and you have to accept them as FB friends first. I have quite a few friends on the game that I know nothing of except that they play the game.

RIP Shannon. I'm so sorry this happened to you. So young and full of life. It seems you were loved by many. Prayers to her family and friends.

I haven't read the article yet, but the first name that comes to mind after reading your comment is: Ted Bundy.

Indianapolis has been having a lot of homicides recently. See map for locations. Some appear to be drug related. Other victims, such as Nathan Trapuzzano, seem to be victims of random violence.

There has been an arrest!

The Indianapolis Metro Police arrested 52-year-old Morice Ervin, of Indianapolis. Police arrested Ervin for murder and rape on Wednesday afternoon.

Ervin lived in a neighboring home when the murder took place.

DNA helped solve the case, Shannon was murdered by a shotgun blast to her head.

I didn't realize she had been raped as well. Poor thing. I'm shocked it's a 52 year old! And it was her step-mother's next door neighbor!!!
