The last few days I've been disappointed to see a few exchanges begin to deteriorate :no: - escalating from a lack of tolerance for differing opinions. Of course opinions are going to differ when a bunch of intelligent, independent thinkers have a discussion. That's a good thing, not a bad thing. It's from http://juror13lw.wordpress.com/ and instead of posting the link I just right clicked on the image and copied the image location link to it then pasted it with the insert image thingie.

One thing I came across from checking the twitter link you posted https://mobile.twitter.com/reevasteenkamp/media/grid?idx=0&tid=301602849610141696 was image 16/50, literally sent chills down my spine when I read it. Whether it was sent from OP? I don't know how to check that far back, sorry.:/

These broken tiles are bugging me. They are immediately around the door so was he banging there to scare her or banging there trying to get in to her?

He was acting out. He had her trapped, and he was acting out. He could have broken down the door anytime he wanted to. After all, he had already broken through his bedroom doors.

The force of the bat hit on the right side of the door would have created an opposing force on the tiles where the door hinges were screwed into the frame.

Killer knows he hit the door with great force.

Killer's story MUST explain why.

Claiming that he needed to bash the door with a bat seems like an incredibly unlikely explanation for how to get into the toilet stall.

Think about it. If he had a gun, he could have shot the lock, or simply slammed the door with his shoulder. Hacking at the door with a cricket bat is not an effective way to break a door.

Evidence points to Reeva running into the bathroom, screaming for help. Killer tries to get her to shut up. He's helpless to stop her screams for help with woke up several neighbors. So he threatens her by hitting the door with the bat.

She screams more.

The only way to stop her screaming is by getting the gun. She screams even louder and he shoots her. She falls, screaming even louder and in terror. He re-aims, and shoots until the screaming stops with the last head shot.

I've been poking around online trying to find more details about OP's previous relationships and life in general, and found this article below that I hadn't seen before.

I want to be careful not to give 100% weight to all of these articles, being that they are not evidence and merely just things we are reading online.

But since we have been discussing whether or not it seems like he has the ability to be violent, I have to say that putting all of this stuff together (if most of it is indeed true)... it sure does seem possible to me that he could turn violent and pretty quickly.


-He has gotten way out of hand with cars, boats and speed (tickets, accidents, serious injuries, etc)..not just with himself, but with others in his vehicles.

-He was very carelessly playing with a gun in a packed, public restaurant and it went off.

-He shot a gun through an open sunroof.

-With his ex-girlfriend Vicky Miles, he admits they endured a fiery relationship which often ended up in screaming rows.

-Sam Taylor testified to him yelling at her and other women in their lives.

-He had an assault case against him from that Taylor girl in 2009 after he angrily slammed a door and broke it, hitting her foot.

-We've heard of his outbursts on the track after losing.

-We just saw that article earlier from Gina Myers' dad saying that he was overwhelming with Reeva. He would not leave her alone.

-June Steenkamp did an interview where she recounted how Reeva and Oscar had been fighting with each other a lot, according to her daughter.

People like this who live on the edge and constantly can't keep their anger and emotions in check are sometimes a time bomb just waiting to go off. Just speculation... and just talking about possibilities only here.

Thanks for posting this Val. I'm still going through the photos and Reeva's captions but it is clear that this lady was a rock star! She was living life and having a great time! No wonder Oscar was so jealous and controlling; but there was no controlling Reeva! LOL!!! Ugh, if he had just had more confidence in her love and desire to only be with him they would have had a blast! But that is not how the romance ended...

Recalling their interview, Piers said: “He couldn’t have been nicer or more humble. I feel shocked and saddened by what’s happened.

“Off air, he said he knew he had got it all wrong. He was aware he had a temper issue and was trying to stop making that kind of mistake, as he put it.

What is the general consensus - did the prosecution prove their theory on Reeva's death?

What is the most damning evidence against Oscar?

Is there a piece of evidence that overwhelmingly proves he did not intend to murder Reeva?

Apologies if others have posted link already, I know Shane and others have mentioned the dog shooting story around Pistorius psychology and behavior. Here’s the whole, good, wide-raging, article.
At the start of “End of the Rainbow”, Oscar Pistorius recounts to two journalists how he accidently ran over a dog, than, as the dog’s owner come out to berate him, he grabbed his gun and shot the dog in the back of head

"A couple of years ago, two journalist friends of mine spent an afternoon with Oscar Pistorius. For much of the time, they recall, Oscar was quiet and self-contained. And then, apropos of nothing, he told a story. He was driving on the outskirts of a black township, he said, when a dog ran under his wheels. In his rear-view mirror, he watched as it dragged itself off the road by its front legs, its hind legs useless to it now. Its back was clearly broken. He stopped and got out of his car to find that the dog's owner had come out on to the street, shouting, cursing, gesticulating. What to do? On Valentine's Day 2013, when the world learned that Oscar Pistorius had shot Reeva Steenkamp dead through a closed bathroom door, this story no longer sounded the same. End result, no journalist or writer published any account of this “dog shooting incident” until Pistorius had already shot dead his girlfriend, at a much later date x.

I believe the most damning evidence is 5 ear witnesses who heard a female screaming before and during the gunshots. They were blood-curdling, terrified screams that lasted for several minutes according to testimony. The screaming stopped with the last shot. Plus the bathroom light was on during this time per two witnesses.

I would like to reserve ultimate yes or no on guilt until I've heard Defense's case which has not yet begun.

I was following links too and have a sneaking suspicion that OP's mood that day might have had something to do with their old friend(the same one as RS had been accused of flirting with I think)

Seems that there was a grand debut in the works reported in the news on the same day that the tweets were between RS and DF regarding the same carbon fibre car manufacturer as the one he'd just spent a fortune on.

Or not, not that it really matters anymore.
