CARTER COUNTY, OK -- Carter county deputies are searching for a man who's been missing since Thursday and could be in danger.

Sheriff Milton Anthony says deputies got a call on April 3rd from Brandon Nichols co-workers.They said he had been loading saltwater in his truck at an oil lease in rural Gene Autry. But when they found his truck still running, Nichols was nowhere in sight. Anthony says deputies searched the surrounding wooded areas, but have had no luck so far.

Brandon went missing about 25 miles as the crow flies from where Colt Haynes and Molly Miller vanished in July of last year. If you aren't familiar with the Colt & Molly story, it's well worth reading up on.

If you have followed the case, this post on Operation Find Molly Miller has a comment by Molly's cousin PMF that you might find interesting:

Interesting comment.....

It looks like Brandon's missing page was removed from FB. Does that mean anything? Was he found? Can't find any updates, but his NamUs listing is still active.

I hope investigators checked the obvious and looked inside the holding tank of Salt water or oil tank. If there were fluids in the tank, and if that tank was large then maybe he accidentally fell in the tank. They need to search that tank and any other tanks near where his truck was like an oil tank that may have been near there too.

If oil or murky salt water in those tanks, it may have been difficult to look all the way to bottom of tank and would almost take draining the tanks to search them good.

I haven't seen anything locally (the OKC area anyway) about this. I hate it's not getting more attention.

A quick search of Google shows a fundraiser listed for Brandon, to hire a PI. Located the organizer on FB. Appears to be the spouse of a family member and it seems most of the family is from Texas, which leads me to believe that this is the same Brandon Jade Nichols as in this article: http://www.mineralwellsindex.com/local/x154979073/One-of-three-Santo-burglars-sentenced/

Which of course isn't to say the contents of the article have anything to do with the current situation. Just looking for some background here; it seems very odd to me that the Facebook group has disappeared even though MSM has confirmed he's still missing...

Here is is FB profile but I don't see any recent activity (other than what looks like a spam app): https://www.facebook.com/brandon.nichols.90260. Although a comment of his on his profile picture seems to confirm that the above article is most likely him.

Here is a post from the Missing Truck Driver Alert Network's Facebook page, with a comment from his mother stating he has the name Rene tattooed on his left fingers and Lily on his right fingers: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=736800969687324&set=a.599263063441116.1073741826.341127269254698&type=1

According to comments here, his tank was checked three times, along with other tanks (at least that's how I'm deciphering it): https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=736800969687324&set=a.599263063441116.1073741826.341127269254698&type=1

This is the PI hired to investigate the Molly Miller/Colt Haynes case:

Lead investigator Philip Klein says during their search for Molly and Colt, he believes they've uncovered clues into another Carter County missing persons case, Brandon Nichols. "Right now it's a double homicide but we do have another missing person from out there that's not our part of the case but during the scope of our investigation we have discovered that there is another missing person, oil-field worker, from that area that is missing," said Klein...

"We have had extensive conversation with the Nichols family, we have had extensive conversation with the next of kin, we are sharing that information with investigators over in Carter County," said Klein.

Klein says he believes one or more of the persons of interest in the Miller and Haynes case could be linked to Nichol's disappearance. "We don't think that Brandon was involved in this incident but we believe the same players that were in this incident, some of the same players in this incident, could be involved in the Brandon Nichols case," said Klein.
