WA - Shooting Victim Dies While Fleeing, Seattle, 2005
What a sad story. I doubt they can charge the shooter with murder as he died after the crash (if they ever even find him). The poor brother and woman who tried to help him!

Yes, they can charge the shooter with...
homicide, if they locate him/her. It's the same as if a woman who is raped dies of a heart attack within hours of the rape, the heart attack probably would not have occurred if the rape had not. The deceased in this case would not have been "driving for their life" if they had not been shot.
