OR - Robert 'Sean' Ohrenich, 62, Hammond, 27 March 2014

    Robert “Sean” Ohrenich

Police stumped in search for missing man -

After two days of searching the water near the Hammond Marina, Clatsop County Sheriff’s deputies came up empty-handed in their search for missing Cannon Beach man Robert “Sean” Ohrenich. Now, Warrenton Police are working to locate the 62-year-old wood artist.
Ohrenich was last seen March 27. His vehicle was found parked in a remote area of the Hammond Marina three days later with the keys still in it.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

    Not very encouraging...

Warrenton Police Chief Mathew Workman said, “This is a stumper we just don’t know where he’s at or what’s going on.”

A press release by the police department was expected to be released later today. Ohrenrich was thought to have been accompanied by his Corgi-type brown and white male dog named Pneumo.

“I haven’t spoke with him in a while. He’s pretty distant,” David Ohrenich admits. “But we got a call from the police about him because he had last been seen at the place he was living, but he hasn’t been back there or to his shop since the 27th. I don’t know why he would have been back there at the marina.”

I find it encouraging that his dog was not located. Maybe they are just hunting for wood pieces. Keys in car isn't so encouraging.

    True.

LE's statement is far from encouraging to me though. To think it is one thing, to say it another. Especially so quickly.

Oh no... so he and the dog are both dead? Maybe suicide?

I wonder if we'll ever know what happened...

Found a short distance from where his car was found.
