Ex-girlfriend sought by police after British company director is shot twice in head as he arrived at Spanish villa

Sources close to the investigation say police are considering whether his former partner – who is from Slovakia – was at the property near Estepona when Mr Bush was shot.

They believe the killer had been waiting, possibly for days, for the couple to return. A source said: ‘It is being treated as murder and police are hunting the dead man’s ex.’

Mr Bush’s British girlfriend, who has not been named but is thought to be in her twenties, is said to have told investigators that his ex-lover opened the door as they returned from a week away at around 2am on Saturday.

She called police after being barred entry and seeing the woman speed off in Mr Bush’s Hummer. She did not have keys to get in.

Police and fire officers climbed into the building and found Mr Bush’s body lying in a pool of blood next to a gun.

She is understood to have a new boyfriend called Peter Kucharik, 20, who has not been seen for days. Friends and family said she had taken the break-up very badly and had been behaving in an ‘erratic and unstable’ way.

In videos and messages which she uploaded on YouTube, featuring the couple kissing and hugging, Miss Kukucova implored her ex-lover to ‘forget everything bad’, adding: ‘Days without you don’t have meaning’ and ‘Let’s be together forever’.

I wonder if she killed her current boyfriend also, since he has not been seen for days.
 
Mr Bush's family say that the ex-girlfriend/killer was jealous and unstable. Even though Mayka had a new boyfriend she still obsessed over Andrew Bush. His daughter thinks seeing pictures on the internet of his new girlfriend pushed her into murder. She also thought Mayka was jealous of her bond with her father.

Mayka is also claiming she is pregnant with Bush's child and that she killed him in self defense. She says he was alive when she left; but the man was shot in the head and died instantly. Bush's daughter says that her dad broke up with her 6 months ago and that Mayka does not look 6 months pregnant.

wonder why she didn't kill the g/f too - leave no witnesses kind-of-thing

how did she get past the alarm system? I'm assuming he had one on a beautiful house and I'm assuming he changed the code after he broke up with her, esp. if she was acting obsessively - of course, it's a given that I should not assume anything

Mr. Bush's girlfriend is lucky to be alive - I hope suspect's boyfriend is also alive & well
 
There was a large sum of money left in the victim's pocket. There are pictures of Mayka being arrested, her stomach looks flat but she still claims she is pregnant by the victim. She texted her parents that it was "self defense" but tells LE that Andrew Bush was alive when she left.

Mayka must have taken Andrew's car keys from him because she told the new girlfriend to get out of the car and that "Andy has given me the keys to go to the airport".'

A Spanish judge has insisted his body has to stay in the country for up to five years for post-mortem examinations during the murder inquiry and court trials.

His devastated family said the judge ordered his body should be buried on Friday - but they managed to persuade him to wait until today to allow them time to fly out to Spain.

'My dad has died and my mum is struggling. I'm the one fighting for it, trying to get him home. I don't know how many times they need to check his body.'

His daughter wants to bring his body home to the UK, but Spanish Courts won't let them.

A Slovakian model on trial in the fatal shooting of her British millionaire ex-boyfriend tearfully testified Monday that he pulled out a pistol and it went off while they struggled for it.

Prosecutors say Maria Kukucova shot Andrew Bush twice in the head and once in the shoulder at his home in the southern beach resort of Estepona on April 5, 2014, and are seeking to have her imprisoned for 20 years.


Kukucova, 26, testified she didn’t know how many shots were fired because the first one was so loud that she went temporarily deaf, hearing nothing just after it.
