A British man who lived in Manitoba, Canada, has been shot dead fighting back in a home invasion in the Bahamas, on Tuesday April 8th.
Edgar Dart, 56, was shot and then tied up along with five family members, and left to die for an hour as his helpless family looked on. The three masked robbers were also armed with a machete and George's nephew Pip, 29, received wounds.
"It took him around an hour to die and there was just nothing they could do for him", his brother in law said. Friends in Canada are mourning the loss of a man 'who always made you feel good', and who ran a feed business in the area.
The intruders cut the phone lines to the Emerald Bay, Grand Bahama home, belonging to Edgar's mother, before the attack. They stole jewellry and personal property. The death was the sixth murder on Grand Bahama this year.
