Fort Lee police search for missing man whose car was abandoned on Palisades Parkway -

FORT LEE

Police are looking for a missing 50-year-old borough man last heard from more than a week ago. Hans Jong Lee, who also goes by the name Hyung Jong Lee, had picked up his recently deceased fathers ashes the morning of April 7, and apparently left the area about 11 a.m., said Deputy Police Chief Timothy Ford. His vehicle was found abandoned at the Rockefeller Lookout in Englewood Cliffs by Palisades Interstate Parkway Police about 8 that evening, Ford said.

Circumstances of DisappearanceHans Lee's vehicle was observed parked at the Rockefeller Lookout off of the Palisades Interstate Parkway. It had been seen parked there for approximately seven hours. Lee's wife reported that he left home at 1000 hours but had not heard from him since. Lee was supposed to pick up their child from school at 1600 hrs but never showed up. At 2015 hrs, Fort Lee Police Officers made contact with Mrs. Lee who informed them that her husband was missing. He has not been heard from since 04/07/2014 at 1000 hrs.
