KY - Three officers injured in Metcalfe County gunfight
A law-enforcement officer who chose not to disarm a man who later fired on officers during a gunfight in Metcalfe County defended his decision, saying he believed the man to be harmless.
Three officers injured in the outburst Tuesday afternoon were not seriously hurt and had all been released from University of Louisville Hospital by Wednesday night.
The man left armed was in serious condition at the hospital, and his son died.

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?
