LE has reviewed video from near the scene of the murders and have 3 vehicles that may be of interest.

The first car is a dark colored Ford pickup truck pulling a cattle trailer. The other is a black Chevrolet Impala. The last is a red Ford Ranger pickup truck with a sticker on the rear passenger window.

Mother was a special ed teacher for Bardstown grade school, daughter was a sophomore in Bardstown high school. They were both suffered some sort of trauma. LE asked a neighbor if he heard gunshots that night.

There are pictures of the vehicles that were caught on video at this link. They were seen at 8PM on Monday 4/21/14.

Very sad case as they family had lost the father to cancer in July 2013. Mom Kathy had been posting pictures of what Samantha would being wearing to her prom and an acceptance letter for her to Gatton Academy of math and science. It seems another daughter was thankfully spared as she was in college. I hope there is a quick answer to this case.

Amazing, this case hasn't even gone beyond the first page!

    Regarding secrecy -
"I can't say," said Trooper Gregory. "I'm not going to be able to talk anything about the crime scene or motive right now." -

Wow, strange case, why can't they talk about anything?

Tragic case. It seems there is a surviving daughter/sister, but I don't know if she lives in Bardstown or elsewhere.

Kathy Netherland's husband recently died from cancer. The two of them had a second daughter who was away at school during this crime.

    From this link:

"Kentucky State Police said they are confident they can close the case of a slain Nelson County mother and daughter if they can find whoever was in a black Chevy Impala seen after the slayings on April 21.

    Also,

"Surveillance cameras at a gas station down the road captured images of the car just after 8 p.m. April 21.

"The person or the people in that car, we believe are the suspects in this crime," said KSP Trooper Jeff Gregory.

The car was seen again on a different camera driving away from the crime scene towards Bardstown. Surveillance images were unable to determine the license plate number or if there was anyone inside besides the driver.

It's believed to be a 2006-2013 model with untinted windows and no spoiler.

Gregory said response to the released photo of the car has been overwhelming and he urged citizens to think outside the box about the car.

"The person who is responsible may not have ownership of that car, but it may be a car they borrowed
    ," he said."

Very sweet community vigil held last night per report. This seemed to be such a good family... Samantha a responsible and talented teen and her mother a gifted teacher.

I have to hope LE has more leads than just the video of the Impala. Specifically, I hope there was forensic evidence found in the home.

    It's been a month!

I can't believe the car (which LE is still unsuccessful in locating) is the only lead in this case. LE won't release any additional information. Also, afaik LE has not issued any warnings to locals to be wary of anyone prowling the neighborhood.

    Very frustrating.
