Just married and charged with murder: Bride pictured in her wedding dress in the back of a cop car after shooting dead her niece in row about who was driving home ....

Will that photo make it to the wedding album?

Really truly sad.
What an awful way for a marriage to begin.
RIP niece.
Wishing for healing for all involved.

Wow. I'm lost for words. She shot her own niece on her wedding day? What a keeper.

And now I'll sit on my hands.

So she will begin her marriage being tried for the murder of her niece.
smh

Beaver County Common Pleas Judge Richard Mancini sentenced Christina George, 31, of Conway to 16 to 32 months on a conviction for involuntary manslaughter and six to 12 months for reckless endangerment...

A jury found Ms. George, who was a nurse at Allegheny General Hospital before the shooting, guilty of the charges March 27...

Defense attorney Steve Colafella said that although Mr. Harvan and Ms. George are still legally married, Mr. Harvan is “no longer in the picture.”

The mother of the victim is unhappy with the 16- to 32-month sentence imposed Wednesday on the former Beaver County bride convicted of involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment in a fatal wedding-night shooting. Christina George-Harvan could have faced a maximum of seven years in prison in the death of her niece, Katelyn Francis, 22.

"It's very difficult to accept. It's hard when you think your daughter's life is not worth much. And that's the feeling that I got today," said Pam Markley, the mother of Francis. "I was hoping he (Judge Richard Mancini) would give her maximum sentence to let her think and sit in jail and realize what she had done, and really take responsibility for what she had done," Markley said.
