A Catholic College in Leeds 15 yr old in custody. shocking incident live feed

Just to be clear, I am adding additional wording of the Judge, so everyone knows what is expected.

"Obvious examples of publications that may create a relevant risk are those dealing with the defendant's history and background, whether medical or otherwise, and his relationship with Mrs Maguire or other teachers at the school, or with his parents or other young persons."

Under English law, any child involved in court proceedings is entitled to anonymity. Normally, that means media cannot name their school or college.

But the judge agreed with Greaney that it would be absurd for reports to omit that the charges related to Maguire's death at Corpus Christi on Monday.

This will be much different than how we handle US cases. Here, any social media of the defendant will not be allowed to be linked, defendant's name may not be used, pictures may not be posted. Discussion of any mental illnesses or speculation about mental illness will not be allowed.

It is going to be very different, so please be aware and post accordingly.

Thanks,

Salem

A 15 year-old boy is being held and questioned following the stabbing to death of 61 year-old teacher Anne Maguire. Other pupils at Corpus Christi Catholic College in Leeds are reported to have 'brought her attacker down'.

The alarm was raised before noon today but Anne - a much loved teacher of Spanish - died on her way to hospital. She is said to have been a teacher for 40 years.

A huge number of tributes are being paid to Anne, and former pupils are even travelling across the country to pay their respects to this much loved teacher of religion and Spanish. They are unanimous that Anne was kind, nurturing and compassionate and a 'mother to the school'.

She was due to retire in one year's time. :(

The 15 year-old being held is said by neighbours to be 'quiet and shy'. Some of his fellow pupils are saying about the same, but putting it as 'weird' and a 'loner'. The mail is pointing out his grim reaper avatar. Grimly ironic, given the circumstances.

There is something very poignant about both Anne's daughters growing up to be ballerinas. I think it's because becoming a ballerina is often a fleeting dream for little girls, but it looks like Anne helped her little girls' dreams come true.

Rest in peace, Mrs Maguire.

She lived in the Moortown area of Leeds with her husband, Donald, who is believed to be a retired maths teacher.

Supporting Maguire's husband in court were the couple's two daughters, osteopath Kerry, 32, and ballerina Emma, 30, a soloist with the Royal Ballet.

Also with them was one of the teacher's nephews, who lived with the family after his mother –Maguire's sister – died in 1986. He told police he considered himself like a son to the Maguires after being brought up by them.

Such a kind woman. What a senseless loss.

I can't believe this happened, doesn't seem like anyone had a bad word to say about her.

To have dedicated 40years of her life to teaching and being in her last year before retirement is just heartbreaking.

This boy must have some serious issues going on. He needs to be sent to big boy prison but highly unlikely over here

SECOND teenager is arrested in connection with the death of stabbed teacher Ann Maguire, as 15-year-old boy accused of her murder appears in youth court

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...d-boy-accused-murder-appears-youth-court.html

Police investigating the murder of Ann Maguire have arrested a second 15-year-old boy, it emerged last night.

Officers removed a pupil from class for questioning. He was taken to a youth custody suite where he was quizzed on conspiracy to commit murder, but was later released.

It was unclear whether the boy was a pupil at Corpus Christi Catholic School in Leeds where Mrs Maguire was knifed.

A provisional trial date is set for November 3rd.

The article I linked also explains that the laws protecting minors in the UK usually mean their school can't be mentioned either. But the judge has agreed that would be 'absurd' in this case, at this stage.

Usually when these internet trolls are prosecuted over making offensive remarks about people who have just been killed, I just think 'stupid'.

This one makes me distinctly uneasy though. Hope police keep an eye on him when he's out of jail. You can read what he said about Anne's death at the link. Too offensive for me to want to repeat.
