[SIZE=-2][SIZE=-2][SIZE=-2][SIZE=-2][SIZE=-2][SIZE=-2]I just discovered this case yesterday while watching an episode of The Rolonda Watts Show on YouTube. I have been able to find next to no info online about this case, so I have no idea if it was ever resolved. I already posted this case in the UM thread about cases people were shocked that the show never covered.
Richard Lewis and his girlfriend Nancy Gilmore, both 30, lived in a motel room at the El Dorado Inn in Anaheim, CA. They had been arguing at some point on June 30, 1995. On that day, neighbors say they heard a scream come from the couple's room and saw Nancy emerge shortly thereafter with her face covered in blood. Police found Richard lying dead in the room from a gunshot wound to the chest. Nancy was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a hospital. Police say Nancy adamantly refused treatment for her head injury which she said came from Richard hitting her with a bottle while arguing. Three days later, while Nancy was in her cell, it was discovered that she herself had actually been shot in the head and had a bullet lodged in her brain that had to be surgically removed (along with the portion of the brain that the bullet had damaged). Nancy claims that Richard had shot her and tried to kill her before taking his own life and that he was mentally unstable. Richard's family believes Nancy killed Richard and say that Richard wasn't mentally disturbed and that his life was fine until he met Nancy.
Here's the Rolonda episode from 1996. Personally, I don't think a whole of ground was covered on this episode due to the emotions involved. It seemed like a lot of irrelevant issues kept being brought up that detracted from the case.

I honestly don't know what to believe one way or the other.[SIZE=-2][SIZE=-2][SIZE=-2][SIZE=-2]
