Identified! NM - Albuquerque, WhtMale, 30's, beneath I-40, May '14 - Sergio Bickham

I'm sorry, I've only just seen your reply now.

Any indication of when the victim died? A body near I-40 could be someone from out of state.

Very true. I haven't seen anything further in the news about this UID but I think there was another brief blurb which said he was found near the Route 66 casino, which is a little west of Albuquerque. He could have come from Arizona or California, Texas, etc.

I'm pretty sure this is him: https://www.facebook.com/sergio.bickham

It looks like he had a serious problem with drug abuse.
Apparently he was arrested in early April for methamphetamine possession: http://www.westernblotter.com/news/new-mexico/man-taken-into-custody-for-a-drug-related-offense/10738798.html
He was also arrested back in February for a traffic-related offense.

On October 10, 2013, he was arrested for DUI.
There are other arrests, but none of them are for violent offenses

It looks like he was a very troubled man and his death was probably drug-related. I hope he's now at peace. RIP

OMG that poor guy has a selfie up of him "talking" but you can see in the reflection of his sunglasses that there's no one around :(

Deputies said surveillance video led them to Warren Esquirell, Charles Cordova and Alex Trinidad Gallegos. Deputies said Bickham owed Gallegos money for an ounce of meth. All three were arrested in June and charged with kidnapping and conspiracy, but not murder. They all posted bond and were freed.

SWAT officers eventually arrested Gallegos last week. On that same day, deputies also re-arrested Cordova. Both are now charged with first-degree murder. Deputies said they used GPS technology to place the pair's cellphones at the gas station and where Bickham's body was found.

Investigators are still looking for Esquirell.
