    UK - Thomas 'Tom' Moore, 32, Brentford, 15 July 2003

    Tom Moore, age 32 (43 now) left his family home in Brentford, England, July 15th, 2003. A note he wrote said he didn't know when he'd be back. July 17th, he withdrew 150 euros from a bank in Ancona, Northern Italy, and then it's thought he spent time in a refuge in Milan, and may have been spotted in Freudenstadt, Germany. His account has never been accessed again, however.

    Tom is deeply religious, often travelled to shrines across Europe and self-medicated the schizophrenia that affected him from age 19. His family are still desperate just to hear that he is okay.

    At the time of his disappearance, he had a gingery beard, has brown hair and blue eyes, is 5'7" and liked to wear a lot of crucifixes and religious symbols. He may have an unkempt appearance.

    Anyone outside the UK who has info should call Missing Abroad at:
    +44800-098-8485

    Or use the family's website contact, here;
    http://missingtom.com/contact/

    The national missing helpline for missing UK is 116-000. (call or text). But though Tom's website links to that, he is listed as Thomas Moore. He doesn't come up under searches for 'Tom'.

    Another photo of Tom. The missing poster on his website doesn't seem to be shareable.

    I was wondering - surely the Santiago de Compostela in Spain would have been a destination for Tom, after Italy and Germany?

    Why have I put 2005 in the thread title, when I KNEW it was 2003! Dang me and dates.

    Wow, I remember this case! What do we think? I think he's in a religious refuge somewhere in the world. It's a shame his family can't just get a message from him saying he's okay but this is what he wants to do. If of course my theory is right...
