Officers searching for missing Opelousas woman -

The St. Landry Parish Sheriffs Office is searching for Tyler Lauran Domingue, 28, of Opelousas. Tyler reportedly left the residence in her gray 2004 Pontiac Grand Am. It is unknown what she was wearing, where she could be or who she could be with.

Capt. Megan Vizena tells KATC that 28-year-old Tyler Lauren Domingue was last seen at her residence about two-and-a-half weeks ago in Opelousas, when she left in a grey 2004 Pontiac Grand Am.

According to Vizena, Domingue has not called anyone a in her family since early May.

Deputies said that is unknown what she was wearing or with whom she could be, but she is described as a being 5'2" tall and 120 pounds with brown eyes.

She's been missing five months and this is the first I've heard of her case. I even worked in Acadiana this past summer. She has a child or children. I hope she's out there somewhere and is coming home soon....

My first thought, if the car is still missing, is that she's in the car, in the water. A cursory glance at a map doesn't seem to show any large bodies of water very near where she was last seen, though.

Wow! I live around an hour away and have never heard of this case. So sad. I would guess water. If she headed south, there is the Atchafaylaya Basin, as well as other bayous and rivers. I hope she is found. Opelousas isn't very far from the Basin.

Tyler Lauren Domingue, 28, was last seen near her home on Hwy. 182 in Opelousas. Also missing is her gray 2004 Pontiac Grand Am. Tyler had been involved with some criminal element during the course of her life, however she had been doing well and no evidence of potential suicidal tendency existed.

No sign of Ms. Domingue nor her car was ever discovered. It’s possible that she just ran away, investigators realize that, but it is believed that she was the victim of some form of violent act, a spokesman said.

I live in South Louisiana and have only seen any mention of her when I dig around on FaceBook. In the late 1990's, we lived across the street from her family. I wonder if there has been any updates?

Tyler Domingue's mother reported her missing on May 12, 2014. Tyler was last seen two weeks prior when she dropped her son off to her mother in Sunset. Tyler was driving a grey 2004 Pontiac Grand Am and was last seen in the Lafayette area.

Tyler was last seen with her boyfriend, Derek Viator, and he has been charged with first degree murder of 2 people. And about 2-3 weeks after those bodies were found, Tyler went missing. Rumor is that she knew about the murders and was going to go to police so he killed her. She hasn't been found yet.
