CA - Dolores 'Dee' Gonzales, 43, found dismembered, Santa Clara, 5 June 2005

Santa Clara police are investigating the city's third homicide of the year today after a dismembered female body was discovered inside a vehicle Sunday night, according to police Officer Patti Lynch.

Officers responded at approximately 9:46 p.m. to reports of suspicious circumstances at 2810 Malabar Ave. in apartment No. 4.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a maroon 1994 Volkswagen Jetta parked in the rear of the complex, parallel to a fence. Looking inside, officers discovered the dismembered body of the female. Her identity has not been determined due to the condition of her body.

Just when I think that I have seen the most depraved things a human can do to another human, somebody posts a new story...........

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?

Thursday some called Alexandre Hochstraser a coward, a sociopath, a liar. One of them said she hoped he rots in hell. And all of them wanted to know: How could a man who said he loved the mother of his 2-year-old son kill her and then cut her body into pieces?

One by one, 22 of them asked Judge John F. Herlihy to defy the law and sentence Hochstraser to life in prison with no chance of parole.

But the judge said the first degree murder conviction for killing and dismembering Gonzales gave him only two sentencing options: probation or 25 years to life in prison with chance of parole. The judge said he will include a strongly worded recommendation that Hochstraser not be paroled when the time comes.
