His truck was found about a mile from my house. Sad story. I hope they find the POI they're looking for and he leads them to Billy's whereablouts.

#BREAKING: homicide investigation underway in Tarpon Springs after body found in wooded area near liquor store.

This is the area I pictured when they said he may be in Tarpon Springs. It is a heavily wooded area on the border of Holiday and Tarpon Springs, about 3 miles from my house, 4 from where he disappeared from. I hope I'm wrong. Had seen this on Pinellas County Sheriff's active calls just before wfla posted this on twitter.

It's on their website now but doesn't say if they think it's him. I'm hoping it's not but Pasco Co. is treating his disappearance as a homicide. http://www.wfla.com/story/25602959/b...s-liquor-store

Edit- Also, the area where the body was found is Pinellas Co and the news story notes that Pasco is working with LE from Tarpon Springs.

The investigation is treating the death as a homicide at this time. Police say detectives from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office were working on an investigation in the area when they located the body.

There's no word on whether the body is connected to Billy Shuler, an area coin collector who vanished earlier in the week.

Club remembers Homosassa coin collector who was shot in head

Terry Martin was standing by a table with a picture of his best friend as collectors and dealers with the West Hernando Coin Club set up their stalls inside the Elks Lodge banquet hall. He picked up a microphone and began to speak.

"There's one of us no longer here," he said. "We're missing a warm, smiling personality. And that's the great personality of Bill Shuler."

They all knew Shuler. He was an avid dealer and club member who never missed the coin shows. He never cussed, Martin said, and he was always smiling.

    From last month:

    http://www.bradenton.com/2015/06/16/...-arrested.html

Authorities have been looking for Anthony Maresca for a long time. Detectives say he’s been on a bank robbery spree since November.

Monday, a Palm Harbor motel proved to be the end of the road for the accused serial bank robber. Maresca was taken in to custody at Kings Inn by Pinellas County sheriff’s deputies...

Maresca wasn’t just wanted for robbery. Deputies say he's a suspect in the murder of 69-year-old Bill Shuler, a Citrus County coin collector... Maresca has not been charged in Shuler's murder but remains the only suspect.

    From July 16:

    http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/story/2...-dealers-death

Detectives said they had been waiting for the results of DNA tests to come back before charging Maresca with murder, which they did on Wednesday.

"We had Anthony Maresca's fingerprint in Billy Shuler's blood on a coin envelope, located inside Billy Shuler's truck," described Detective Daniel Toner. "We also had other evidence that identified Anthony Maresca's DNA being on clothing that was worn at the time [by Shuler]."
