As many of you know, I adore Steve Perry, I have for years. I have read that many of you here do too. I have waited for years for his return. I met him and Journey many years ago in Atlanta. This was back when the famous "DOG" Randy Jackson played with them.

Steve has one of the best voices ever. I believe after all these years he probably could not keep his voice at his age. I just watched the video and sadly it seems he cannot hit those notes anymore. It does not matter - I'm elated to see him.
I'm sure considering his age and coming on stage dry he did the best he could, esp. after not performing in 20 years. Sounds like a throat issues too.

The 65-year-old singer stepped up for the encore during the show, performing the Eels song "It's a Motherf--ker."

Wow, I hate to admit how old I have gotten. Steve is 65.. OMG.

We love you Steve.

Thanks for posting the video links Gozgals. While his voice may not be what it was a couple of decades ago, the man still has an amazing stage presence - he's still got the "IT" factor.

I've been a Journey fan since 1978, and still have some of their original albums!

thank you for posting this. OMG I LOVE this man's voice. wishing him all good things during his tour!

I remember watching Bay Area news coverage following the '89 Loma Prieta/World Series earthquake, when Oakland was playing SP's beloved San Francisco Giants. among the various film clips, they showed this team of about 20 civilians doing a walk-run while struggling to carry a fire hose. I guess the fire fighters needed all the help they could get. a very slim well-dressed lady among them was wearing a nice suit and high heels and she had a shoulder bag which kept slipping off her shoulder. so she was hefting that hose on one shoulder and using her other arm to tug her purse back where it belonged every time it slipped down. she never stumbled or missed a beat and she kept up with everybody. of course the song playing in the background during the film clips was SP's Lights, and hearing that song while watching those people pitching in like that made me cry. I've never forgotten that

Their tribute band Evolution played last year at our county fair, and they were pretty good!.

I still think Steve has much charm and can captivate many at his age.

I am just overjoyed to see him, as I'm sure you all are..

Much love and happiness to Steve. Wishing him well on his tour.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! :loveyou: I adore Steve Perry, and his voice is still awesome! Another singer that is making a come back is Question Mark. He performed this in 2011. He's 70 now! He was 67 during this taping. I would love to see some more of the oldies come back! That's when music was GOOD!
