In the days before she disappeared, she posted multiple pictures of her growing up, in school, her family, her parents, her friends...a lot like a farewell. This is very sad, but I am sure she disappeared on purpose and committed suicide.

Jennifer Mbugua's family said they haven't heard an update about Mbugua since she seemingly vanished about three months ago. They describe her as a responsible nurse, whom they talked to daily. They said her disappearance isn't adding up...

Her apartment looked like she could walk in the door any moment. "The lights were on. Her TV was on. Her pocket book was right there, her phone," Beatrice Mbugua said...

Her landlord refused to let police or her family inside her apartment when she disappeared. The next day he packed up all of her things and moved her out. The Mbuguas said they worry the action hampered the investigation. "My question is even up to now, why were the things removed? I was not informed," Anne Mbugua said.

Hmm, that sort of doesn't make sense, unless her family went to her apartment to look for her, then the landlord wouldn't let them back in after he learned she was missing?

If the landlord refused to allow police and family into the apartment then how do they know that lights and TV were on and her purse was there with her cell phone? And refuse to allow the police in the apartment and then packs up all her stuff the next day? This sounds very odd to me.

The family hired a private investigator a few months ago to look into possible leads to find their sister and daughter. Those leads didn’t turn up anything. The family had to drop the private investigator because the cost was too expensive.

“We really had no leads,” Lisa Mgubua said.

“My mom keeps saying she feels like somebody kidnapped her. She’s very quiet, very reserved and she’s a single woman. We just feel she’s somewhere.”

Friends of a woman who has been missing for two months held a vigil for her on her birthday...

Loved ones gathered at Fall River’s Kennedy Park on South Main Street Saturday afternoon, praying for her safe return on her 32nd birthday.

“It’s been tough all around on everybody because there’s so many unanswered questions, with no idea, nothing coming forth about even a clue,” Jennifer’s sister Beatrice Mbugua told Eyewitness News.

My guess is the landlord has something to do with it. Pack up her things and move her out the day after she disappears?

For those who don't know, they found the car about 30 minutes away. It's crazy to me when I read this cause the gas station is 5 mins from my house and I haven't even heard a word about this until today

Lisa Mbugua believes her younger sister, Jennifer, a Fall River resident who has been missing since late May, was abducted.

"We're still hopeful she'll be found," said Lisa, who added that some people have told her that they wonder why the family thinks Jennifer, whose 32nd birthday was last week, is still alive.

"It might sound kind of crazy, but we feel like she's out there somewhere," Lisa said.
