A friend reported 36-year-old Nichole Burgess missing on Sunday. Burgess has not been heard from since the afternoon of Friday, May 23. When authorities searched Burgess’ home in the 900 block of Oak Vale Drive, they found her usually tidy house messy. Her car was also there with a purse inside.

According to officials, Burgess' two dogs had been alone in the house for days. Family and friends said she would not have left her pets for an extended period of time without proper care...

Neighbors told News 2 the only suspicious activity they saw Friday was a car in Burgess' driveway that they did not recognize.

Nichole is 5'1" tall and weighs 126 pounds, with red hair and multiple tattoos.

prayers for Nichole

this has close ties to a community i'm familiar with - i hope she comes home safe, and soon

Metro Police helped serve a search warrant near the Knoxville area Friday night, but said it was just a formality and not to expect much...

A neighbor who lives directly across the street told police he saw a strange gray car back up into the driveway last Friday evening...

"Family and friends have provided us information about those she was close to and perhaps people she was not getting along with,” said Aaron.

I just saw this on my local news...
She is from the Crossville area.

A woman who has been missing from her Hermitage Tennessee home since May 23 is originally from Crossville.

She is 36 year old Nicole (Nikki) Burgess, a 1996 graduate from CCHS.

She had her son on Thursday and her son's father picked him up on Friday.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Friends and family are worried about the sudden disappearance of a 37-year-old Nashville model.

Nikki Burgess has disappeared and Metro Police suspect foul play. Police, her friends and family are trying to find her.

Metro Police helped serve a search warrant near the Knoxville area Friday night, but said it was just a formality and not to expect much.

Burgess texted her best friend last Friday afternoon and has not been seen since.

Her friend, Shannon Million, describes her as an alternative model.

"She has won several different beauty contests around town and she's been published in Pin Up America Magazine,” said Million.

Million is writer for “American Pin Up Magazine.” She is also a model.

"You know we're those girls who are not 5-9 [inches tall] and above and weighs 100 pounds - even though she does weigh 100 pounds soaking wet,” she said.

Burgess is barely 5-feet-tall. The 37-year-old has been missing for a week.

She also has many friends here where I live.. I don't know her tho..

Hope she is found soon..and alive! I know homicide has gotten involved but one can hope.

This is just outside of Nashville. Hermitage borders Nashville. I am in Madison which also borders Hermitage. I have been following this case, of coarse, and they have only brought the ex husband in for questioning to my knowledge. He picked up their son on that Friday.

I found another case about a person by that name and that was a case of murder. The age was about the same too.

Providing links to both cases:
'. . .Investigators in Nashville, Tenn., believe foul play led to the disappearance of a 37-year-old mother.
Nichole Burgess was last seen May 23. Police were called to her home after a friend of Burgess' said she received a disturbing text from her.
Police found her purse in her car and her two dogs unattended, officials said. They haven't released what the text message said.
Friends say Burgess would never leave her dogs alone for a long period of time. She also had a 10-year-old son, who was staying at his father's when she disappeared. . .'

2nd case:
'. . .
Nicole Burgess' death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy determined she was stabbed to death. Her body was found inside a home in the 3300 block of Royale Glen Court on March 22.
A dog found dead at the scene also died from several stab wounds, police say.
Investigators say it is unclear whether Burgess' death was random or if she was targeted. . . .'

This all makes me wonder if someone is targeting people of that name and age for some reason.

I don't usually think like that about cases but this is an odd coincidence.

WHOA! That is very creepy. Good catch, DW3.

I wonder if LE is checking into this.

This is more info on the second victim from Maryland. Note: Both girls were known as Nicki to their friends. The victim from Maryland went missing almost 2 months to the day before the girl in Nashville vanished. They were both 37 years old. Both had dogs.

Police are no closer to finding out who killed Nicole Burgess–or why.
A “No Trespassing” sign is now prominently displayed in front of the house that belonged to 37-year-old Nicole Burgess, known to her friends as Nicki. On March 22, acquaintances discovered her and her dog dead inside the home located toward the end of Royale Glen Court in the quiet, upscale Davidsonville neighborhood. Autopsy results showed she and her pet pit bull were both stabbed to death.
Neighbors are stunned.[modsnip]

This reminds me of the "Terminator" movie where numerous girls named "Sarah Connor" were being systematically murdered in order to insure the right one was eliminated.

Exactly so.
I thought of the same movie.

I would like to know if her boyfriend or ex drives a gray car.

What do y'all think about starting a thread for the other Niki Burgess?
It might be confusing...with them having the same name but I would like to know more about the circumstances of her death and hope that her killer is caught.
