Warren police are asking for the public's help in the search for a 51-year-old woman who was last seen May 14.

Kimberly Dejohn was last seen in the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 14, but wasn't reported missing until May 28. Police say she allegedly left her home in the 21000 block of Sherwood on foot.

Police are fearing the worst and foul play. They are holding her husband as a person of interest in her disappearance.

I just saw this missing woman's case on the WDIV news. Hadn't known about it previously. Doesn't sound good :( Evidently, the couple has property "up north", so if LE isn't satisfied with their search of the Warren home, the investigation will head north.

Police say they’re investigating the disappearance of a 51-year-old Warren woman as a possible homicide while her husband waits behind bars.

The husband was arraigned on domestic violence charges and is being held on a $750,000 cash bond.

“The evidence that we have suggests that there was foul play in the home; and at this point it’s being investigated as a possible homicide…We continue to collect evidence and do interviews,” Green added, declining to provide further details about exactly what evidence was found...

Green said investigators they will serve a third search warrant on Thursday at another Michigan location in hopes of finding more evidence in the case.

So maybe the investigation is heading "up north"?

No updates on this case so far today. Maybe there will be something on the news at noon.

News at noon on WDIV: Daughters want to know what happened to their mother. Husband apparently put Kimberly's belongings into storage. Warren LE meeting today to discuss how to proceed. Will probably search the couple's property north of I-69 beginning tomorrow.

Missing Warren woman's case is now homicide investigation

WARREN, Mich. -
Warren police investigators say cadaver dogs came up with positive hits at the home of Loyd and Kim Dejohn.

Investigators found strong indications that the home has been altered to mask evidence of a crime. It's now a homicide investigation. However, there still isn't any sign of Kim Dejohn who has been missing since May 14.

Some of the biggest clues are coming from what Dejohn's husband is telling her family...

I wondered where the "up north" property was and just heard on WDIV that it is in Rogers City, MI (northeastern lower peninsula along Lake Huron).

Warren detectives and officers, along with state police continued their search Wednesday from Warren to Kimball, Michigan, collecting more evidence...

A bizarre twist in the case: 7 Action News has confirmed after Kim disappeared a young woman moved into the Warren home with her infant.

The baby is not believed to be Loyd DeJohn’s, and the relationship between Loyd DeJohn and the unknown woman is not clear.

No updates this morning. I'll watch WDIV noon news and report any new developments. The search was supposed to move north to Rogers City today where the couple had property.

This case sounded grim from the get-go, and since Ms. DeJohn is believed to have been murdered, I hope that her remains are located. My thoughts and prayers are with Kimberly's family. :rose:

ETA: Nothing new to report.

I thought about this case while I was running errands today. If Kimberly disappeared following an argument with her husband on May 14 and wasn't reported missing until May 28, that's a full two weeks before anyone started searching for the woman  During that time, it's been reported that Loyd put Kimberly's belongings in storage, had her car towed, moved another woman and her child into the house that they previously shared. That was also two weeks during which the husband had plenty of time to dispose of a body. I hope authorities find something at the Rogers City property that will help bring closure for this family.
