NJ - Mary Joe Bodnar, 55, Linden, 2 June 2014

    Mary Joe Bodnar

Linden Police seek information on missing 55-year-old Mary Jo Bodnar

According to a witness and her daughter, Mrs. Bodnar apparently walked out the back door of her house at about 7:30 a.m. on the 900 block of Smith St. in Linden. She was last seen walking down the block, which is just off Routes 1 and 9 near the Rahway border.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

She is described as a white female, 4-feet 11-inches tall, 150 pounds, with hazel eyes and red hair. She was last seen wearing a pink top with print on it and tan pants.

Mrs. Bodnar left her keys, cell phone and wallet at the house. A check with area hospitals and local taxi services have failed to produce any leads, police said.

Is there a light at Smith St. and Route 1/9? If so, she could have caught a ride with a truck driver.

She looks like a pretty and engaging woman. I know she's relatively young, but did she have any signs of Alzheimer's? For someone that has Depression and Anxiety, in my opinion, it's a little unusual to be up, fully dressed in a very nice coordinated outfit and out the back door by 7:30 AM. What was wrong with the front door?

And, IMO, no woman leaves home without her pocketbook with her stuff, unless she's going jogging/exercising. And this woman wasn't dressed for that, unless that's what she wore when she walked. So, maybe she just kept walking and got lost.

I hope people are canvassing and looking for her. I hope she will be found soon!!!

    Most Sincerely, MoeJoey

From Richard's link #1, it seems as if an overdose is suspected.

Rip - hope you have found peace.

    Mary Jo Bodnar

So sad; she left her purse at home but took her meds and/or took cash with her and bought them on the way.

RIP Mary Jo. You looked like a very fun person with an outgoing personality. Hope you're having a more peaceful time on the other side. I'll say a few prayers for you.

    Most Sincerely, MoeJoey
