The Huntington Herald's FB post for Sheila.

I hadn't heard of Huntington before so read the wiki on it - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huntington,_Texas
Huntington's local newspaper is the Huntington Herald, serving Huntington, Zavalla, Etoile, and Homer. It is a free monthly paper that can be found in most of the local stores and business establishments throughout the area.
That led me to their facebook page.
Note the photo in the comment is a better picture but the newspaper posted a thumbnail. With a little digging, you can find the original high res original on a personal page that isn't linkable. On that page, the person acquainted comments the photo KTRE released in our post #1 looks 'nothing like her.'

This gives lots more details and a different photo:

Sheila Ann Morton, 33, was last seen June 2 leaving her ex-husband’s home, where she had been staying, according to Angelina County Sheriff’s Office investigator D.C. Wells. She reportedly left her belongings, car, purse and their son with her ex-husband.

Her ex-husband has helpful in providing information and was cooperative in the search, Wells said, noting that he is not considered a suspect.

“She was last seen walking away from the house with her cell phone,” Wells said. “We have no reason to believe she would be suicidal.”

Her cell phone has reportedly been turned off for the past six days.

Morton’s sister, Emma Morton, said she knows her sister has problems and needs help.

“She takes medicine, and when she’s not on her medicine she’s not rational,” Emma Morton said. “The only thing she took was her wallet and cell phone. They told us they traced her bank records and the last thing she bought was a 9mm handgun. She has been hanging out with people in the Rivercrest area.”

HUNTINGTON is 10-15 minutes from my hometown of Lufkin. Rivercrest is a white trash area with several rumors of inbreeding, not to mention a body from another homicide was recovered in Rivercrest a few weeks ago

Mid-afternoon Monday, June 2, 2014, Morton left her 3-year-old son with the child’s father at a residence in Allen Town. Crime Stoppers Ad for missing Huntington woman brings no new leads

    LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -
The Angelina County Sheriff's Office now has a person of interest in the case of a missing Huntington woman, but have no leads after putting out a Crime Stoppers Ad. "I think the real concern right now is there has been so much publicity and we have not heard anything," Angelina County Sheriff's Department, Captain Alton Lenderman.
Sheila Morton was last seen leaving her ex-boyfriend's house in Center on June 22nd. "It's just like she disappeared off the face of the earth, like she just vanished," said Sheila's mother, Joan Morton.Authorities won't reveal their person of interest in order to protect their investigation, but they have come to one conclusion. "The only thing we really do know is that she is missing, there is no explanation of why she is missing and we figured there is foul play," said Lenderman.

WELLS, TX (KTRE) -Road workers have found a decomposed body in the median of US 69, just north of Wells, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
Capt. John Raffield said the body is that of a white woman. He said a crew was mowing the median when the came across the body. They do not have an idea of the woman's age.
Raffield said the area was last mowed in June.

An investigator from Angelina County is on the way to the scene to investigate if the body is that of a missing woman reported there. Sheila Morton, 32, was reported missing on June 2, the last time that area was mowed, according to Cherokee County Sheriff James Campbell. Angelina County Sheriff Greg Sanches said they will do DNA testing to see if it is her.

Joan Morton wants closure for her daughter Sheila, last seen on June 2 in Angelina County. Fast forward three months and a lot of people are wondering whether a body found in the median along Highway 69 near Wells is Morton.

"We don't know if the person just laid down and died," Cherokee County Sheriff James Campbell said. "We don't know if they were hit by a car and then knocked in there. There again we just have to wait and see." Investigators believe whoever it is had been laying there for a month. They know she was a white woman but the body was too far gone to immediately tell how she died. An autopsy along with DNA and dental testing should help

"If this is her then God has answered our prayers," Joan Morton said. As tough as it is to imagine, Morton's mother has come to the point where death can be considered a blessing — instead of being whispered as the worst case scenario. "I have been in a nightmare for 93 days," she said.

The growth since June 2 – the last time contractors mowed that area, he said – helped camouflage the body, which was discovered clothed and in a fetal position. A straw hat and a shoe matching one worn by the woman were found nearby.

“She was found in the deepest part of the median, and these high weeds covered the body – there have been thousands of cars that would have driven right by” and miss seeing anything, the sheriff said...

Campbell added that if evidence taken from the body matches dental records from Angelina County, “it may just be a matter of a day or two to identify her.”

Investigators are still working to determine the identity of a decomposed body found in Cherokee County after a preliminary autopsy failed to yield any answers.

According to Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Captain John Raffield, the believed female sent to Tyler for autopsy could not be identified. He also stated the cause of death was not determined.

Raffield said the body will now be moved to the University of North Texas anthropology department for forensic testing.

Angelina Co. sheriff: Remains found in Cherokee Co. not missing Huntington woman
    Posted: Sep 12, 2014 12:24 PM CST Updated: Sep 12, 2014 12:34 PM CST
LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Dental records have revealed that the remains of a woman found in a grassy median on US Highway 69 in Cherokee County were not those of Sheila Morton, a 32-year-old Huntington woman who has been missing since June 2.

Angelina County Sheriff Greg Sanches confirmed that the woman's remains were not those of Morton early Friday afternoon. Sanches said Dr. David Palmer, a Lufkin dentist, was very helpful in determining whether the remains matched Morton's dental records.

I have had a lot of patients lately that know Sheila very well. I am relieved this was not her, but at the same time lose more optimism each day that passes. She is dearly missed by those I have met that know her
