UPDATE: State Police check possible missing person in Madbury

MADBURY-
State police Troop A is currently assisting the State Police Major Crimes Unit as officials investigate a missing person case on Evans Road in Madbury, with evidence of possible foul play. At about 4:15, the State Police Major Crimes Unit arrived on scene. A report of a missing 18 year old man from Madbury has been relayed through local police dispatches today, though police on scene cannot confirm whether that detail is related. A neighbor who wished to remain anonymous said he's lived here for about 15 years in the normally quiet neighborhood and hasn't seen anything like this this during that time.

Not many details. I can't even find that address in the tax assessor's database.

The first link in the thread has been updated to say that the incident in Madbury is thought to be "drug related." The call about a missing person was made at about 8 a.m. on Saturday. The body was found later in the day in Lebanon. It sounds like the incident being investigated at 36 Evans in Madbury is something that took place on Friday night.

The medical examiner performed an autopsy Sunday and determined that the victim died from multiple stab wounds. His death has been classified as a homicide.

New Hampshire investigators said they got a report from a parent on Saturday that his 18-year-old son was missing from their home in Madbury. They have not said whether they believe this 18-year-old is the victim found in Lebanon Saturday afternoon, and said positive identification will take a few more days.

Authorities in New Hampshire said they would wait until a definitive identification was made to connect the two, but family members of the missing teen were told by police it was likely their son.

So the person was killed in New Hampshire but dumped in Maine. Must have been a recent graduate.

The article about the possible missing person notes that there was blood in the driveway so if the two are related, then most likely it happened in NH and the body disposed of in Maine. Madbury, NH and Lebanon, ME are only about 30 minutes apart.

Finally, this young man has a name:

The New Hampshire Attorney General's office is now handling the investigation into a body discovered in Lebanon, Maine Saturday afternoon.

Investigators have identified the body as 18-year-old Aaron Wilkinson, of 36 Evans Road, Madbury, NH...

The home at 36 Evans Road in Madbury had a sign posted at the end of the driveway today asking members of the media to please respect the family's privacy at this most difficult time.

That's right. Lebanon Maine is very close to the New Hampshire border. If someone drove up Route 16, it's only a short distance between Madbury and Lebanon.

What is really creepy is my daughter takes this road to and from work, sometimes late. She is afraid now to drive it. She is certain she must have passed the body.

It is definitely creepy. I'm about 10 minutes away so I understand how she feels!

Stackhouse described Wilkinson as an avid skateboarder who loved hanging out at the local skateboard park. "He was very interested in skateboarding," he said. "He was a very unique individual. He had a lot of friends here. He was a compassionate kid"...

While Wilkinson had his ups and downs, Smith said he never dragged anyone into his personal struggles. He said Wilkinson wasn't afraid to speak his mind and liked to check in on the more introverted students.

"I only wished he saw in himself the potential others had (seen)," Smith said.

The three men facing first-degree murder charges for the death of Madbury teen Aaron Wilkinson are being held without bail at Strafford County House of Corrections, following their arraignments Thursday afternoon at Dover Circuit Court.

For what was described as a brutal and premeditated killing, Judge Stephen Morrison entered no plea on behalf of Michael Tatum, 21, of 236 Young Rd., Barrington; Zachary Pinette, 18, of 5B Rankin St., Springvale, Maine; and Tristan Wolusky, 18, of 46 Lowell St., Rochester.

If convicted, the felony charges carry the sentence of up to life in prison without parole.

Really interesting posts on that last one. Aaron's murder may have been over a girl.

The documents say that at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Pinette aided Wolusky and Tatum in committing first-degree murder. The documents also say that Tatum stabbed Wilkinson with a knife, and that Wolusky used a “knife and/or machete.”

Assistant Attorney General Jeffery Strelzin, head of New Hampshire’s homicide unit, would not disclose what police believe was the motive for the killing, saying that affidavits in the case have been sealed at the state’s request...

The murder charges shocked people who knew all four young men and believed they were friends. “(Wilkinson) would hang out with them. He would skate(board) with them, go to their house and stuff,” said Chris Cote, a longtime friend of Wilkinson who attended Thursday’s court hearing.

About 100 people, many of them fellow classmates, gathered to tell stories about the young man most of them called “Wilk.” They held white candles and honored the memories of their friend that they will carry with them. There were a lot of tears, and a lot of smiles...

The town has approved placing a bench in Wilkinson's memory at the skate board park on Court Street. He was an avid skateboarder, said his friends. Donations were being accepted to cover the $600 cost of the bench, said Elizabeth Haflich, whose son, Cam, was a close friend and classmate to Wilkinson.

Friends and family were encouraged to sign a memory book that will be given to Wilkinson's family. Wilkinson's father was present, thanking people with hugs for attending the vigil.

I wonder what motivated them. If it was over a girl, perhaps the young men thought that he did something to her. What a shame that it came to such a horrible end for all of them.
