This was my doctor and without him I never would have been able to get pregnant (through surgery - not through is personal help LOL). :blushing:

I do know that a while back (maybe 6 years ago) he got in trouble with Blue Cross/Blue Shield and they would no longer accept him. I had to stop seeing him because my insurance wouldn't cover it.

I wonder if greed or stress from money problems could have been involved - if in fact he is guilty.

Fitzpatrick said an anonymous letter gave police more information that prompted them to continue reviewing the case even after the death was ruled accidental.

For 11 months prior to his wife's death Sept. 17, 2012, Neulander was working at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital in Utica, delivering about half the number of babies he did years earlier at his own practice in Camillus. He left Faxton-St. Luke's that month and has not worked since.

His thriving practice of more than 25 years was derailed in 2009 by an eight-year legal fight with the area's biggest health insurer that cost him many of his patients.

That year, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield kicked Neulander out of its network of participating doctors in a financial dispute. The insurer covered most of his patients.

She died to young for just a fall in the shower. This is in a suburb of Syracuse. Guess a divorce was to Costly, maybe he should of considered the cost of a Murder Defense

The lawyers eventually agreed on March 16 for the blockbuster trial. Testimony is expected from numerous out-of-town experts, including the chief medical examiner for the state of Kentucky and Dr. Michael Baden, the celebrity forensic pathologist...

Neulander faces a second-degree murder charge, as well as tampering with physical evidence. The murder charge carries a possible 25-year to life sentence.

Neulander, 63, was called at the end of a grueling all-day hearing to determine whether police overstepped their bounds in collecting evidence at the DeWitt house on the day his wife died.

The large amount of blood covering the bathroom and bedroom of the Neulanders' house gave police leeway to collect evidence without a warrant after Leslie Neulander's death in 2012, a judge ruled...

Menkin conceded that police had a right to enter the residence to try to save Leslie Neulander's life. But he argued that any evidence collected after her death should be suppressed.

The judge said that police could not "wear blinders" to what they saw when they were attempting to save the victim's life.

Jury selection is expected to start Monday in the trial of Dr. Robert Neulander...

The trial is expected to draw so much attention the judge presiding over the case has created an overflow room in the next door courtroom. People who can't fit in the trial courtroom can see and hear all of the proceedings there.

The defense lawyer dismissed suggestions that the doctor could have killed his wife over their pending separation. Yes, they were sleeping in different bedrooms, but they had also been out with friends the night before and kissed before going to bed, Menkin said, adding that their daughter Jenna, 25, witnessed the kiss.

He also attacked the job DeWitt police did investigating the case. Menkin noted that police didn't quit investigating after the medical examiner ruled Leslie's death accidental. The push from DeWitt police convinced prosecutors to keep getting expert opinions on how Leslie Neulander died, the defense lawyer argued.

A Rural/Metro paramedic testified that responders had to move Leslie Neulander's body to perform rescue efforts because she was wedged against a bed and night stand.

Neulander, 61, was found with a severe head injury at the base of the bed in the master bedroom. Her husband, Dr. Robert Neulander, is accused of killing her and staging a cover up story involving an injury in the shower.

Sgt. Michael Kurgan acknowledged that the Onondaga County Medical Examiner, Dr. Robert Stoppacher, initially determined that blood spots on a slanted wall could have been caused by responders taking off their bloody gloves.

Prosecutors claim that the blood ended up on the bedroom walls when the doctor beat his wife to death. Dr. Neulander says that he found her in the shower and carried her into the bedroom to tend to her.

Kurgan, an 18-year police veteran, testified today that he wasn't convinced that Leslie Neulander's death was an accident. But before he could finish taking measurements and photos at the scene, his superior officers told him to stop. That's because Stoppacher ruled Leslie Neulander's death accidental within hours.

I just watched the Dateline episode on this tragedy. I started googling and saw where the sentencing has been postponed due to potential juror misconduct. Does anyone know if this trial was televised? I would like to see the trial, even after the fact. I feel so badly for the children as it sounds as though they truly support their father. TIA
