Police seeking missing man last seen driving to work
Investigators said Ralph Bernhardt, 59, was last seen leaving home about 5 a.m. Monday. Bernhardt drove from Batavia to Peebles and stopped at a UDF along the way. Bernhardt never made it to work and has not had contact with his family, investigators said. He recently suffered from a stroke and hearing loss.

Ralph Bernhardt was last seen headed to work driving a black Toyota SUV.
He made a stop at the UDF at Route 32 and Bauer Road in Batavia, but then never showed up for work.

An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper driving near S.R. 32 and James E. Sauls Sr. Drive saw the car belonging to Ralph Bernhardt, 59, before 2 p.m.
The trooper found Bernhardt unresponsive behind the wheel. Bernhardt was pronounced dead on the scene.

Troopers said there was no indication of foul play in Bernhardt's death at this point.
Bernhardt was last seen driving to work in Peebles on Monday morning, but never arrived after stopped at a UDF off Ohio 32 in Batavia to buy a newspaper.
The SUV was found out of view from the road, possibly in a ditch.

Ralph Bernhardt, 59, of Mount Washington, was driving on Ohio 32 when his car traveled off the road, through a fence and onto James Sauls Drive, according to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Bernhardt's vehicle kept going off the road and struck multiple trees, the release states.

RIP Ralph. I had a former boss that had a heart attack while driving, crashed and died.
