The global police tweetathon on Friday 28th June has already kicked off in some parts of the world. It uses the hashtag #poltwt and is a way for police and community members to reach out to each other across the world.
My nomination for funniest police tweet so far goes to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office, for this one:

Many police departments are using the day to highlight missing person and important crime cases, so it seems like a very good thing.
