Breaking news

Malaysia Airlines says it has lost contact with a plane travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, with 239 people on board.

The airline said in a statement that flight MH370 disappeared at 02:40 local time on Saturday (18:40 GMT on Friday).

I'm praying the plane is found and people on the plane survive.

If you go to a search engine "advanced page" for example ...

http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en&authuser=0
http://search.yahoo.com/search/options?fr=fp-top&p=

where it says "site or domain" enter the "main address" which in this case is ...
www.duncansteel.com

Then you can go up to the search box & enter the words you want to find anywhere on ONLY that site.
If you enter "ground station" you might get too many possibilities, so try something less common
like your "IFE modem". If it was me I would try the the 2 unanswered times "18:39" or "23:13".
Hope that helps

Thanks for that! Found it by following your instructions. :seeya:

Seems that the scientists found no explanation for the 18:39 call ... other than the call went through a ground station in Norway, not from Perth. And there was no pick up .. seems the call rang out. (Which is not to say that investigators don't know what the call was, of course.)

And apparently the 23:13 call was Malaysia Airlines trying to call the plane, but again it did not pick up .. and the call rang out.

They did say that the plane may not even have heard the calls. It is a bit like your home phone. If you unplug it or the actual phone is faulty, it will still sound like it is ringing to a caller, but it cannot connect.

That is not what I meant. I meant that you are new here on THIS thread ...
I noticed that another thread was merged into this one here ...
so that means there are some new people that are unfamiliar with the recent messages that have been posted here.
AND I have found myself having to write messages with the same content that I had written last week ...
so I was also explaining to the regular readers why they had to read messages again that were repeating what I had already told them about.

In a previous message here, I posted a link to a video that includes discussion by THE Inmarsat engineer who actually matched the data to the mathematical equations. It probably doesn't have enough technical answers for you, but hopefully it will help shed some light on the calculators vs suits question :)

When a Thread closes the Quote box is not longer available
BUT
You can do like you did and copy and paste AND WRAP it in a Quote..that button is where all the icons are next to the left of the # sign

So then it would look like this (below)
the only thing missing would be the previous posters name and the arrow to click to go back to that previous post but you can include the posters name, thread # and Post # for reference

http://bdnews24.com/bangladesh/2014/...esonance-claim

After the claims by GeoResonance, the Bangladesh Navy resumed search operation with 2 frigates & 2 maritime aircrafts. But after a 12-day-long search, they returned empty handed. This was back in early May.

The thing I find strange about this is that GeoResonance had a photo of what was supposed to be a plane underwater. So I am curious why a statement wasn't made either identifying which plane it actually was OR a statement saying that it was NOT a plane at all, but a rock formation or illusion or whatever ...

GeoResonance seemed so sure it was a plane & I thought they said they were going to follow through on it even if the Australian search team didn't ... but I have not read any followup from them. In fact, the words MH370 & Malaysia do not appear anywhere on their website ???

GeoResonance posted 4 Press Releases in regards to MH370 and then nothing more was heard.

The company did state they were considering searching the location in the Bay of Bengal themselves..they said "TEST US"
That was on May 10th
In the above article they also criticize Bangladesh for sending out 3 Navy vessels to search the area saying only 1 vessel would have been enough.

I believe this article has been posted in our threads but I think it relates to the JACC new search area further southwest of Australia

Outside group tells governments where to search for Flight 370

A group of independent experts -- who prodded authorities to release satellite data on Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 -- says it thinks it knows the approximate location of the missing aircraft.

The ad hoc group of independent specialists came together through web sites of two experts, Duncan Steel of Wellington, New Zealand, and Tim Farrar of Menlo Park, California. Several members of the group initially cast doubts on Inmarsat's conclusions that the plane had flown south,
But shortly after Malaysia released raw satellite data on May 27, several of the loose confederation of scientists agreed it provided sufficient data to show the plane had flown south.

Five separate computer models all place the plane in a tight cluster of spots in the south Indian Ocean — hundreds of miles southwest of the previous search site.

"While there remain a number of uncertainties and some disagreements as to the interpretation of aspects of the data, our best estimates of a location of the aircraft (is) near 36.02 South 88.57 East," according to the statement, which was approved by 10 named experts

That is interesting about Norway because 18:39 is when the plane
would have been further north around the Adaman Islands.

Doesn't that indicate that if the plane had taken the northern arc
then the 23:13 call would have also been from the Norway station ???

Since the 23:13 call came from the Perth station,
does that indicate that the plane took the southern arc ???

May 21 link above:

On the 7th of May GeoResonance was contacted by the satellite communications scientists from the University Putra Malaysia (UPM), who had discovered the GeoResonance findings correlated with their calculations. The UPM scientists also believed that the northern corridor
was unfairly dismissed from the search and asked the authorities to review and share the raw satellite data. However the request fell on deaf ears and was ignored by the authorities.

At that time, May, yes, but since the data from Inmarsat was released in June independent scientists have changed their mind and agree with the southern route

The ad hoc group of independent specialists came together through web sites of two experts, Duncan Steel of Wellington, New Zealand, and Tim Farrar of Menlo Park, California. Several members of the group initially cast doubts on Inmarsat's conclusions that the plane had flown south, saying the publicly available information from Malaysia and Inmarsat was insufficient to draw that conclusion. The plane could have flown north, landing or crashing along an arc extending from Thailand to Eastern Europe.

I'm sorry but I don't get how they can rule on a cause of death without doing an autopsy. They don't even have any bodies yet. Not to mention, they haven't even found the PLANE!!!!
I just don't get the investigators. No physical evidence to suggest this.

MH-370 DEFINITION OF UNDERWATER SEARCH AREA REPORT JUNE 26, 2014
http://www.jacc.gov.au/media/releas..._Definition_of_Sea_Floor_Wide_Area_Search.pdf

Malaysia is the investigating authority and they have not made any official statements.

This is how I understand it after reading the Australian report (Definition of MH370 Search Area Report) and other articles and video

They, the JACC search team, came up with the assumption because it best fit the evidence they had as they were defining the search zone

Someone turned the auto pilot ON, so they believe the plane was being flown by someone until the final turn southward toward the Indian Ocean

The assumption, based on the evidence, was that the crew was 'unresponsive' from that point on during the final stage of the flight until it crashed

Malaysia, who is the investigating authority, has not come out and said this is what happened..this assumption was for defining and explaining the new search zone.

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/27/wo...-370.html?_r=0

At a news conference here Thursday, Martin Dolan, the chief commissioner of the Australian Transport Safety Bureau, said someone on the plane had put it on autopilot, but he declined to speculate as to who might have done so and why. “If the autopilot is operational, it’s because it has been switched on,” Mr. Dolan said.

Hypoxia occurs when a plane loses air pressure and the pilots, lacking adequate oxygen, become confused and incapable of performing even basic manual tasks.

Pilots are trained to put on oxygen masks immediately if an aircraft suffers depressurization; their masks have an hour’s air supply, compared with only a few minutes for the passengers.

The plane, which left Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, bound for Beijing with 239 people aboard, made its turn south toward the Indian Ocean about an hour after it stopped responding to air traffic controllers.

BUT, this is all assumptions, specualtion and theories. There is no physical evidence to suggest that the crew was unresponsive.
Everyone is assuming one thing or another. Until we find the plane and pull the data recorders and perform an autopsy no one can say the "cause of death has been pinpointed" (according to yahoo news) as it stated in the article I linked.

Thanks... I realize that, even if those in the article mentioned agree now (not sure if they do) are those you mention using all the data from the start, when the plan took off through to the big turn south? Probably my lack of knowledge, but it the entire trip that doesn't seem to be explained not just the southern arc?

I'm probably the only person here who is still not buying these claims:

1. the captain did it
2. all the passengers were knocked out (that I can buy)
3. it flew on autopilot for most of the journey

What I might be able to buy is that the captain had a gun at his head and somehow was able to over power that person and set an autopilot course onto the Southern arc before passing out/dying himself because he knew the plane had to crash somewhere and there was nothing else he could do in the time left... IDK. A suicide/homicide mission makes absolutely NO sense to me. And, I still have other questions, but oh well.
