Fort Lauderdale Police are searching for a missing woman who was last seen Thursday. Trukita Jaquita Scott's parents became concerned when she did not return home or pick up her kids from day care, according to police. Law enforcement officials have canvassed the area and have not been able to locate the 24-year-old.

The family of 24-year-old Trukita Scott is asking for the public’s help after she went missing two days ago. Trukita’s parents said they knew something was wrong when she didn't show up to pick up her kids from day care. The family told NBC 6 they believe they know who has their daughter.“I know he has my child,” Trukita’s mom Kengeral Allen Scott said of her daughter’s ex-boyfriend Carl Watts. “Because of the threats he made against my child. He is constantly following her. Told her if he couldn't have her, no one else would.”

The family was first alerted when Trukita never showed up for her children. Her fiancé received the call from the school that no one had picked up the children. “I was hoping by the time I got there maybe she woke up and went and got the kids and we’d run into each other,” Trukita’s fiancé Al Livingston said. “Nothing. Went home. Checked the house. Nothing out of place. She could have went off joy riding, but she would've took them.”

As Williams waited for the bus May 1 on Sunrise Boulevard, Watts approached her and tried to strike up a conversation. Detectives said she ignored him, but he persisted, trying to coax her into his van and tried to shove cash down the front of her shirt.

Williams pushed his hand away, but he grabbed her wrist, trying to pull her into his van. Deputies said she was able to get free just as the county bus approached.

A video camera mounted on the bus caught images of Watts just as Williams walked toward the bus; a nearby gas station got a shot of his van.

Watts, who has a substantial criminal history that includes three previous kidnapping charges, was arrested Friday afternoon. Deputies said he was charged with one count each of false imprisonment and battery. He is also on federal probation on a weapons charge.

As authorities continue to look for Trukita Scott, 24; the mother of the man Scott’s family believes is behind Trukita’s disappearance is defending her son.

“A person is innocent until proven guilty,” said Ms. Ellison, the mother of Carl Watts. “That’s all I have to say about that on my son and that if I knew where my son was, I would have him contact me, or contact the detective”...

“We spoke to him briefly,” Trukita’s father Charles Scott said. “He hung up the phone. He wouldn’t answer the phone. He hasn’t checked about his son. He took off.”

Police fear foul play in the case of a missing mother from Fort Lauderdale. Trukita Scott, known to her family and friends as “Kita,” has been missing since Wednesday. Now, those who love her are desperately looking for answers — and trying to figure out what to tell her children, a one-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl. “At the end of the day, who’s feeling that really matters is theirs,” said her fiancé Al Livingston, pointing to her children, “because they’re young and innocent and they don’t know no better.”

New surveillance video shows a missing Fort Lauderdale mother working her last shift at a West Park U-Haul before she disappeared last week.

Store owner Jeffery Davis said the video, recorded last Wednesday, shows 24-year-old Trukita Scott dressed in pink just hours before clocking out and heading to Liberty City to meet ex-boyfriend Carl Watts...

According to Davis, in the five years that Scott has worked at his store, the couple has had multiple heated arguments there. Davis said Watts would even try to physically harm her in front of customers. "He used to try and grab her and take her outside and I would have to confront him," Davis said.

Miami police found Trukita's car, a champagne 2007 Nissan Altima with license plate number BCVX16, in Liberty City Tuesday afternoon. They have not reported an address.

Police are now focusing their attention on the boyfriend of a woman from Fort Lauderdale who has been missing for a week. Police say both Trukita Scott and her boyfriend, Carl Watts mysteriously disappeared last Wednesday. The U.S. Marshals arrived at Watts’ home Wednesday with a search warrant.

Watts was arrested in May after he was seen on surveillance video trying to kidnap an 18-year-old woman from a bus stop along Sunrise Boulevard. He was charged with false imprisonment and battery.

A Broward County judge ruled Thursday that the two children of a missing woman from Fort Lauderdale will remain in the custody of one of the child's fathers pending a home study. Al Livingston is also the fiance of Trukita Scott, who has been missing for more than a week. Department of Children and Family officials removed the children from Livingston's home Wednesday because he has a criminal history. The kids have been in the custody of Scott's mother, but both sides agreed Thursday that they should be back with Livingston.

Broward Crime Stoppers is now offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the discovery of 24-year-old Trukita Scott. Scott was last seen on surveillance video leaving her job in West Park. She was reported missing June 25 after she failed to pick up her children from day care.
