Bruebaker is described as a white male, around 5'8", about 120 pounds. He has salt and-pepper hair and has a mole under his right eye.

He was last seen wearing black pants, a blue muscle shirt, a black ball cap, black-and-blue tennis shoes and sunglasses with blue lenses. He was wearing a camouflage backpack and riding a black bicycle with baskets on either side of the seat.

Per relatives' comments on FB, he goes by Rueben and his last name is spelled Brubaker.

A little info on the area, from someone who doesn't live there but knows a little... It is a small town in a tourist area, especially known for nearby New River Gorge and wilderness destinations. Also near larger city of Beckley, WV. Famous area for whitewater activities, rafting, also rock climbing. Near Boy Scout grounds (maybe national area for Boy Scouts?). Highway 19 goes near there, connecting the tourist areas, and short cut from 77 to 79 (I think) north, for those heading north and by passing Charleston. Here is a topo map. Hopefully he's camping and fishing or something...

A Fayette County man who is well-known in the community for his longtime service as a janitor at Oak Hill High School is leading a search for his missing brother beginning at 7 a.m. today...

A five-man search group, made up of Bruebaker family members and friends, have spent the past five days searching woods and caves between Gatewood and Minden, said Bru.

Bru said William, a nature lover who is known to appreciate solitude, enjoys exploring the caves in Fayette County. However, he has never disappeared or failed to contact family members.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office and the Oak Hill Police Department are investigating a death that occurred on old Route 16 in Oak Hill... Personal items at the scene indicate that the remains are most likely those of William Claude Brubaker, who has been missing from his home on Gatewood Road since last Tuesday. "The advanced state of decomposition precludes any positive identification at this time," said Sheriff Kessler.
