Veteran San Antonio police Officer Robert Bunnell, now a detective with the cold case unit, said the murder of 34-year-old Lynn Henderson was “one of the most brutal I’ve seen.” Bunnell said it appears Henderson tried to get away from her attacker, but couldn’t. He said her throat had been slashed.

A utility crew working in the area of Highway 90 & Hunt Lane came upon the assistant restaurant manager’s partially clothed body on April 21, 1995.

He said a crucial piece of evidence could be Henderson’s small white Isuzu truck that she was last seen driving two days before her murder.

San Antonio Police Detective Robert Bunnell said investigators have a person of interest in the case, but there are too many unanswered questions to make an arrest...

Lynn Henderson was last seen alive April 18, 1995, after having dinner at her father's home near Starcrest Drive and Northeast Loop 410. Police believe she left the house about 10 p.m. driving a white 1981 Isuzu pickup to visit friends on the South Side.

The abandoned vehicle was found later at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Horal Drive. Bunnell said two people might be able to answer crucial questions in the case — a man and a woman witnesses saw driving Lynn Henderson's Isuzu at the apartment complex the day after her body was found.
