It's all good Margarita. The new design on here is frustrating. When I post something, it's hard to tell if it's already been posted. The old format would tell you, but this one...I don't know...strange. I hope it gets better,

Gosden has a habit of taking long walks, according to the release, and police are asking residents in natural areas, wilderness areas or open spaces within 50 miles of Fort Collins to be on the lookout for him.

Aw, Geesh, I really had expected him to be found by now. I hope we don't have a Fred Dingler situation here. He was also a dementia patient whose remains were found years later in WY.

It's atypical that a Fort Collins police search for a missing 64-year-old Army veteran with dementia has lasted three days.

Based on his previous experience with such cases, Fort Collins Police Services Officer Matt Johnson said "for the most part" missing people are located within a "relatively short period of time" — think hours or days.

Family of Fort Collins missing man George Gosden say social networking is creating some leads though nothing has led police to find the 64-year-old yet.

Gosden, who was diagnosed with dementia less than a year ago, has been missing since last Saturday and had moved to Fort Collins last year with his wife of more than 39 years, Eiko, to live with son Hiro.

Gosden's niece, Suzanne Gosden Kitchen, said his new home, coupled with the fact that he visited his former home in Ohio a few weeks ago, may have led to his confusion and getting lost when leaving his house.

The Gosden family is planning an organized search on Sunday starting at 6 p.m. They’ve been updating a map online that shows the areas in Fort Collins that have already been searched. Anyone can edit the map once they’ve searched an area.
That doesn't really make any sense. A whole weekend when most people are off work and they wait until Sunday evening to start the search, with only a few hours of daylight left? I guess they have their reasons, but...

Hope tomorrow's search brings positive results. Good luck to all the searchers! 6pm---that should still give them approx 3 hours of daylight, and less heat. Today was brutally hot!

The body found Monday afternoon in a southeast Fort Collins field has been identified as that of a missing 64-year-old man with dementia who went missing earlier this month.

George Gosden, who on July 5 wandered away on from his home in the 2800-block of Eastborough Drive, is believed to have died July 6 as a result of exposure, the Larimer County Coroner's Office ruled Tuesday afternoon following an autopsy. The manner of death was ruled to be an accident caused by cardiovascular disease, environmental exposure and dehydration.
